Royal Enfield is gearing up for aggressive growth with a 1.32 million sales target by FY27, alongside the debut of its first-ever electric motorcycle, signaling a bold step into the EV era.

Royal Enfield plans to manufacture between 1.28 and 1.32 million two-wheelers in the financial year 2027. This target represents up to 6% growth over its estimated output of 1.24 million units in the financial year 2026. The company aims to sustain its momentum after surpassing 1 million domestic dispatches and 1.2 million total dispatches in FY26.
Key Highlights

- Flying Flea C6 launched as Royal Enfield's first electric motorcycle

Production and Sales Growth
Royal Enfield continues to outpace the broader motorcycle market, despite increased competition from Triumph, Harley-Davidson, and Honda. Domestic volumes rose 23% to 1.11 million units in FY26. Exports also increased by 23%, reaching 131,316 units. Total dispatches for the year stood at 1.239 million units, up from 1.01 million units in the previous year.
The company’s core 350cc models remain the main driver of growth. Motorcycles with up to 350cc engine capacity accounted for over 1.087 million units in FY26. This segment grew faster than higher displacement categories. Royal Enfield’s domestic sales reached 1.11 million units, reflecting strong demand in India. The company aims to exceed 1.2 million domestic sales in FY27.
Royal Enfield’s market share improved to 5.18% in FY26, up from 4.48% a year earlier. This increase made the company one of the major gainers in the two-wheeler industry. The growth was supported by sustained demand for core models and expansion in international markets.
Entry into Electric Motorcycles

Royal Enfield has entered the electric motorcycle segment with the launch of the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6. The model was introduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.79 lakh. Under a battery-as-a-service option, the price drops to Rs 1.99 lakh. Deliveries are scheduled to begin at the end of May 2024. The company will start with a phased rollout in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities.
The Flying Flea C6 is positioned as an urban-focused electric motorcycle. Royal Enfield aims to differentiate the model through design, performance, and connectivity. The C6 is the first product under the Flying Flea brand, which debuted at the EICMA show in Milan in 2024. The brand’s initial portfolio includes the classic-styled FF-C6 and the scrambler-styled FF-S6. The S6 will follow the C6 in the product lineup.
Outlook for Premium Segment
Royal Enfield expects the premium motorcycle segment to grow faster than the overall market in the coming year. The company believes the overall motorcycle market will expand in high single digits, with the premium segment maintaining stronger momentum. CEO B Govindarajan stated that Royal Enfield plans to outgrow the market, supported by a strong product pipeline and brand initiatives for its 125th anniversary.
