Servotech Power launches a venture to manufacture lithium-ion batteries and EV charging components

In a bold move aimed at bolstering India's electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, Servotech Power Systems has announced an initial investment of INR 30 crore to venture into the manufacturing of EV charger components and lithium-ion batteries.
The company, along with its subsidiary Techbec Green Energy Pvt Ltd, plans to further strengthen its commitment to the EV ecosystem by earmarking an additional INR 300 crore investment by March 2025.
Expanding the EV Manufacturing Horizons
Servotech Power's vision forays into a crucial aspect of EV technology as it plans to manufacture a range of EV charger components, including power modules, connectors, control cards, and PLC modules. Alongside these components, the company will also produce lithium-ion batteries, a key component in the EV ecosystem.
Infrastructure and State-of-the-Art Technology
To propel its ambitious plans forward, Servotech Power has acquired a sprawling 40,000-square-foot facility in Sonipat, Haryana. The state-of-the-art facility will serve as the nucleus for manufacturing EV charger components and lithium-ion batteries.

Allocation of Initial Investment
Servotech Power's founder and MD, Raman Bhatia, shed light on the strategic allocation of the initial INR 30 crore investment. The funds will be channelled towards procuring cutting-edge testing equipment, recruiting skilled manpower, acquiring advanced machinery and technology, and supporting complementary activities to ensure a seamless manufacturing process.
