Skoda India just pulled the plug on the current Kodiaq SUV, clearing the way for its next-gen model expected by May 2025. The outgoing version, sold only in the top-tier Laurin and Klement trim at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom), packed a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 187 bhp and 320 Nm torque. Known for its solid build, upscale features, and fun driving dynamics, it’s now making room for a sleeker, tech-loaded successor.
Revealed at Auto Expo 2025, the new Kodiaq flaunts sharper LED headlights, redesigned bumpers, 20-inch alloy wheels, and sleek C-shaped LED taillights linked by a light bar. Inside, it swaps the old cabin for a fresh dual-spoke steering wheel, sustainable materials on the dashboard, a massive 13-inch touchscreen, and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
Creature comforts like heated/ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and ambient lighting round out the upgrades. Safety gets a boost too, with ADAS features like emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and parking aids, alongside standard airbags and hill-hold assist.
Under the hood, the new Kodiaq sticks with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine but cranks it up to 201 bhp (same 320 Nm torque), paired with a 7-speed DCT. With these tweaks, Skoda’s flagship aims to keep its crown as a premium, tech-savvy SUV that doesn’t skimp on thrills.
