Skoda has started delivering the new Kushaq facelift across India, just weeks after announcing its prices. The updated compact SUV starts at Rs. 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kushaq facelift introduces several features in lower variants, aiming to boost sales and offer more value to buyers.
Key Highlights
- Skoda Kushaq facelift deliveries have started across India
- New eight-speed automatic gearbox available from base Classic+ variant
- Electric sunroof now offered in entry-level models
- Five variants and 13 color options available
- 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines continue
Key Features and Variants

The facelifted Kushaq now offers an electric sunroof from the base Classic+ variant. This feature, though a single-pane unit, is uncommon in entry-level models from competitors. The new eight-speed automatic transmission is also available from the base Classic+ version, expanding choices for customers seeking automatic options at a lower price point.
Skoda offers the Kushaq facelift in five variants: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. The model shown features a Deep Black paint finish, one of 13 available color options for the compact SUV.
Engine and Transmission Options
The Kushaq facelift retains the same engines as its predecessor. Buyers can choose between a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. A six-speed manual gearbox comes standard. Customers can also select from an eight-speed torque converter automatic or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, depending on the variant.
The new eight-speed automatic transmission aims to make automatic driving more accessible in the lower variants. This move gives Skoda an edge, as most rivals do not offer automatic gearboxes in their entry-level models.
Market Position and Competition
The Skoda Kushaq facelift competes in the compact SUV segment. Its main rivals include models like the Hyundai Creta. While Skoda does not aim to surpass the Creta in sales, the company hopes to attract more buyers by offering popular features and transmission options across a wider range of variants.
With deliveries now underway, Skoda expects the updated Kushaq to appeal to customers seeking value, choice, and advanced features in a compact SUV.
