Skoda, a leading automobile manufacturer, continues to captivate the hearts of SUV enthusiasts with the unveiling of the Kushaq Explorer Edition. Building on the success of previous iterations such as the Monte Carlo, Onyx, Matte, and Elegance Editions, the Explorer Edition takes the popular Kushaq to new heights with off-road-ready features and a distinctive design.
Kushaq's Dominance in the Indian Market
The Kushaq has solidified its position as one of Skoda's best-selling cars in India, claiming an impressive 45% share in total sales. With consistent updates and the introduction of special editions, the SUV has remained a favorite among Indian consumers.

What Sets the Kushaq Explorer Edition Apart?
Exterior Design
Based on the top-spec Style trim, the Explorer Edition boasts several visual enhancements and unique features. Its most noticeable feature is the distinctive matte green exterior, complemented by eye-catching orange highlights across the grille, bumper, side body claddings, and rear spoiler. The bold combination of matte green and orange, accentuated by blacked-out elements, gives the SUV a distinctive appearance.

Interior Revamp
Inside the cabin, the matte green theme continues, adorning the dash, centre console, doors, and pillars. The dual-tone cockpit creates a refreshing visual experience, with contrast stitching on the seats adding to the overall aesthetics. The interior also features an array of top-notch features to enhance the driving experience.
New Features in the Explorer Edition
The Explorer Edition comes with functional updates, including 16-inch blacked-out alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, tow hooks at the front and rear, a functional roof rack, and an integrated auxiliary light bar. These additions contribute to the SUV's off-road readiness.

Enhanced Equipment List
Additional features include an air purifier, rear sunshades, a head-up display, front parking sensors, and a 360° view setup with an improved rear camera. These enhancements build on the existing top-spec Style trim, which includes an electric sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, and a comprehensive range of connectivity features.
Safety First
Kushaq's commitment to safety is evident with its 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests. The Explorer Edition continues this legacy, ensuring users can enjoy safe rides on and off the road.

Performance and Availability
The Explorer Edition will be available with both the 1.0-litre TSI petrol and the 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines, offering a choice between power and efficiency. Skoda has not disclosed the launch timeline, but the SUV is expected to command a premium over the standard model, which is priced between Rs 11.89 lakh and Rs 19.79 lakh.
