Key Updates for 2026 Burgman Street

The latest teaser shows the 2026 Burgman Street will feature full dual-pod LED headlights, giving the scooter a bold appearance. A new copper color option is also visible in the teaser. Suzuki currently offers the Burgman Street Standard Edition in Metallic Matte Black, Pearl Mirage White, Glossy Grey, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, and Pearl Matte Shadow Green. The Ride Connect Edition is available in Metallic Matte Black No. 2, Pearl Mirage White, Matte Blue, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, and Pearl Matte Shadow Green. The Burgman Street EX comes in Metallic Royal Bronze, Metallic Matte Black No 2, and Pearl Glacier White / Metallic Oort Gray. Some variants include dual-tone plastics for a distinctive look.

With the 2026 update, Suzuki is expected to equip the Burgman Street with advanced features similar to those found on the latest Access. These features may include a TFT instrument cluster with navigation, keyless go with a smart key, and a single-channel ABS system. Additional expected features are USB ports, engine auto start/stop, a silent starter, front disc brakes, all-LED lighting, a front windshield, alloy wheels, large underseat storage, and a glovebox.

Market Position and Powertrain Details

The 125cc maxi scooter segment in India now primarily features the Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX, as the Aprilia SXR 125 and SXR 160 have been removed from the Aprilia website. Suzuki is highlighting the 2026 Burgman Street as "The One and Only" in this segment.

The upcoming Burgman Street is expected to use the same 125cc engine as the current model and the Access, delivering 8.5 bhp and 10 Nm of torque. While there are rumors about a possible 150cc version, this appears unlikely at present. Suzuki may standardize 12-inch wheels across the range, potentially eliminating the need for a separate EX variant for this feature.

Suzuki continues to focus on innovation and feature upgrades in the 125cc scooter market. The 2026 Burgman Street aims to build on the brand's reputation for offering well-equipped and stylish scooters in India.
