Suzuki Motorcycle has started the year 2026 with a solid momentum, marking healthy growth across domestic sales, exports, and year-to-date volumes. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer posted a strong rise in dispatches in January 2026, hinting steady demand for its scooters and motorcycles in the Indian market as well as globally. When compared to the same month last year, the brand's overall sales figures have improved, which is backed by consistent domestic demand and enhanced export growth. Moreover, this positive figure growth remains consistent into the year-to-date numbers, highlighting a stable recovery and growing customer confidence in Suzuki’s portfolio.

Strong YoY and MoM Growth

In the month of January 2026, Suzuki Motorcycle India rolled out a total of 1,25,786 units, Posting a 15.48% year-on-year growth. When compared to January 2025, sales clocked at 1,08,921 units, highlighting a significant 16,865 units growth this year. Similarly in the month-on-month sales the brand has achieved Suzuki recorded growth. Compared to 1,22,366 units sold in December 2025, January sales stood higher by 2.79%, reflecting a rise of 3,420 units. This performance suggests demand has remained stable among consumers.

Domestic sales remained to be the core driver of Suzuki's overall sales. In January 2026, the brand posted a sales of 1,00,296 units in the Indian market, accounting for nearly 80% of total sales.  This positive trend marks a 14.19% YoY growth compared to 87,834 units sold in January 2025, marking a gain of 12,462 units in volume. Compared to 97,823 units in December 2025, domestic sales rose by 2.53% MoM, indicating consistent showroom demand across major markets. Other than that Suzuki has maintained its presence in the scooter segment with models like Access 125 and Burgman Street these scooters also supported to gain strong domestic demand.

Exports Growth 

Interestingly exports played an important role in Suzuki’s January 2026 performance. The company shipped 25,490 units across global markets, accounting 20.26% of total dispatches. When compared to 21,087 units delivered in January 2025, exports recorded a 20.88% YoY growth, resulting in 4,403 additional units. Meanwhile on a month-on-month basis, exports also increased by 3.86%, up from 24,543 units in December 2025. This faster growth in exports highlights improving demand for Suzuki two-wheelers in international markets.

Suzuki Motorcycle India’s year-to-date performance for FY26 remains on a positive note, as mentioned in the table above. The brand recorded total sales of 11,87,953 units, reporting a 13.95% growth compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile domestic sales continued to drag the volumes, accounting for the bulk of demand with 9.69 lakh units, while exports added a healthy 2.18 lakh units, reinforcing Suzuki’s growing presence in global markets. Compared to FY25 YTD figures, both domestic and export segments showed steady improvement, indicating balanced growth rather than reliance on a single market.
