Tata Motors Opens Bookings for the 2023 Tata Safari- The Company's Flagship Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)

The New Tata Safari 2023 is expected to be launched soon with many upgrades. Tata is all set to up it's game in terms of safety, with the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology in the Facelift.

Tata Motors has officially opened the bookings for the New Tata Safari , the Company's Flagship Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).Tata Motors, the Indian automotive giant unveiled the Safari Red Dark Edition at the Auto Expo 2023 and also revealed the upgrades that will be there in the new model.

Flagship

A Flagship model in the automobile industry means the finest model in the fleet that is designed by an auto manufacturer to showcase the very best that the manufacturing company can do. It is the vehicle that the ‘Auto Giants’ would want CEOs and Presidents of various organizations, heads of governments and various dignitaries to purchase as their top personal transport.

Booking Process

Tata Safari can be booked by making a payment for the booking amount of Rs. 30,000/- The booking amount would be directly transferred to the bank account of the Dealer that has been selected by the Customer. Booking is allowed only with authorized Dealers of TMPVL. Customers can make the booking online or they may opt for booking the car from dealership after the launch.

Mileage

The Tata Safari gives a mileage of 14.08 to 16.14 km/l. The Manual Diesel variant gives a mileage of 16.14 km/l while the Automatic Diesel variant has a mileage of 14.08 km/l.

Engine and Transmission

The engine is the same 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine, which develops 170PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. It can be paired either with a 6-speed Manual Transmission or a 6-speed Automatic Transmission. But the good news is, the engine now complies with the Real Driving Emission (RDE) norms, which will become effective from April 1st, 2023.

ADAS Suite

Tata is all set to up its game in terms of safety with the introduction of  Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology in Tata Safari. The safety suite equips the vehicle with more than 10 features like forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition and high beam assist. It also includes lane departure warning, blind spot detection, lane change alert, door open alert, rear cross-traffic alert.

ADAS by Tata Motors is an intuitive driving technology which has been built to take on any surprises that can occur while driving. You will experience a safe journey with your loved ones.

New and Improved Infotainment System

Tata Safari’s dashboard will now be equipped with the new-generation 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The user interface gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capable of running wirelessly on it. The new infotainment unit will be able support over 200 voice commands in six different languages. Along with it is offered  a nine-speaker JBL-sourced music system.

The screen behind the steering wheel, which earlier used to be a semi-digital display, will now be replaced with a new all-digital seven-inch TFT instrument cluster in which the display is more vibrant. It is expected to have all the information displayed with crisp graphics which will be more user friendly. 

Design

There are no significant changes to the exterior of the 2023 Tata Safari. The SUV is based on OMEGARC, an architecture that was derived from Land Rover's D8 platform. The front-grille is chrome-studded tri-arrow, which is flanked by Xenon HID projector headlamps. At the rear, there are signature twin-light LED taillamps. The SUV gets 18-inch alloy wheels and also has a panoramic sunroof.

Interior

The interior of the 2023 Tata Safari has the signature Oyster White theme. The ashwood shades and soft-touch materials enhance the premium look . The car technology connected to iRA offers a host of safety, gamification, and diagnostic features. The SUV understands over 200 voice commands in six different  languages. There is also an all-new 7-inch digital TFT (Thin Film Transistor)instrument cluster.

The front-row seats are well-ventilated and it will also feature a powered driver seat with memory and welcome function. The welcome function is currently offered only in the Mahindra XUV700.

Price

Earlier, Tata Safari was priced between Rs 15.65 lakh and Rs 24.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 2023 Tata Safari is expected to range between Rs 16 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

360-degree surround view camera

The 360-degree camera is among the many requested features in the Tata lineup, which  the brand has finally added to the list. It will  be offered with the 2023 Tata Safari.

Colour

The new Tata Safari will be offered in five attractive colours at launch which will include Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Royale Blue, Orcus White Adventure Persona, and Tropical Mist Adventure Persona.

Waiting period

The Tata Safari 2023 currently has a waiting period of 45 days,

Rivals

The Tata Safari 2023 will rival the MG Hector Plus facelift, the 7-seat Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar.
