Toyota GRMN Corolla debuts with track focused upgrades and enhanced performance
The Toyota GRMN Corolla arrives with sharper performance, track-oriented enhancements, and improved handling, making it a serious contender in the performance hatchback space.

Toyota’s Gazoo Racing division has revealed the GRMN Corolla, the most performance-oriented version of the Corolla hatchback to date. The GRMN Corolla features significant upgrades over the GR Corolla, including enhanced aerodynamics, improved suspension, and increased torque.
The model underwent extensive testing at the Nurburgring circuit. Toyota will offer the GRMN Corolla in limited numbers for Japan, Australia, and the US starting autumn 2026, with deliveries expected in 2027.

Engine and Performance Upgrades
The GRMN Corolla uses the same 1.6-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol ‘G16E-GTS’ engine as the GR Corolla, producing 305 HP. However, torque has increased from 400 Nm to 415 Nm. Gazoo Racing has focused on improving torque delivery between 3,600 and 4,800 rpm. The car comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission. An intercooler spray system is included to enhance cooling during demanding driving conditions.
For improved handling, the GRMN Corolla features new front and rear monotube shock absorbers with rebound springs. These upgrades aim to increase traction during cornering. The electric power steering and 4WD system have also been optimized for track use.
Exterior and Interior Enhancements

The GRMN Corolla stands out with a motorsport-inspired bodykit. The front end features a revised bumper with larger air intakes and carbon fiber side spoilers. A new carbon fiber bonnet with prominent air ducts and a smoked Toyota emblem further distinguish the model. Fender ducts and air exits behind the front wheel-arches are new additions on the sides.
The car rides on matte bronze 18-inch alloy wheels, matching the size of those on the GR Corolla. However, the GRMN version uses Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tyres, which are 10mm wider for improved grip. At the rear, a large carbon fiber roof spoiler and a smoked Toyota badge are notable features.
Despite the aggressive bodykit, the GRMN Corolla’s dimensions are nearly identical to the GR version, except for a 5mm reduction in height. The GRMN Corolla is also 30 kg lighter than the manual-equipped GR Corolla.

Inside, the GRMN Corolla is configured as a two-seater, with the rear seats removed to save weight. The front features bucket seats with red accents and ‘GR’ emblems on the headrests. The dashboard layout mirrors the GR Corolla but adds brushed metal and carbon fiber trim, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with a red 12 o’clock marker, and ‘GRMN’ badging. Red accents are present throughout the cabin.
Availability and Launch Timeline
The GRMN Corolla will be available for order in Japan, Australia, and the US in autumn 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027. Production will be limited, reflecting the model’s focus on enthusiasts and track use.
