Key Highlights

  • Triumph Bonneville 350 to launch in India by late 2026
  • India-spec model uses a 350cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine
  • Classic Bonneville styling with retro design elements
  • International version retains 398cc engine with 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm
  • Indian version likely branded as Bonneville 400

Key Features and Design

The test bike displays signature Bonneville design elements. It has a large, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, chunky fenders, and a peashooter-style exhaust, all reminiscent of larger Bonneville models. Triumph has focused on authentic retro details, including a headlamp mounting bracket, bullet indicators, and classic front fender mounting points.

The motorcycle also features a new single-pod instrument cluster and a small circular taillight, enhancing its vintage character. A revised subframe appears to support a flatter seat with white piping. This change may indicate a longer swingarm, which could improve the bike’s stability and visual presence.

Unlike Triumph’s 400cc models, the new Bonneville uses traditional hardware. It comes with telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, and spoke wheels. The disc brake design is inspired by the larger Bonneville range, maintaining the model’s classic lineage.

Engine and Market Strategy

The India-specific Bonneville will use a 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine size allows Triumph to benefit from India’s lower 18 percent GST bracket. For international markets, the Bonneville will retain a 398cc engine producing 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm of torque.

Despite the smaller displacement, Triumph is expected to market the Indian version as the Bonneville 400. This aligns with the company’s strategy of branding upcoming 350cc-powered bikes as 400s in India.

Market Impact and Launch Timeline

The new Bonneville 350/400 could challenge established models in the segment, depending on its pricing and real-world performance. Triumph plans to launch the bike in India by the end of 2026. More details about pricing and specifications will become available closer to the launch date.

Currently, Triumph offers three other Bonneville models in India, with prices starting at ₹10,85,400.
