Triumph Motorcycles has revised the price of the Thruxton 400 in India. The motorcycle is now available at Rs. 2,65,538 ex-showroom Delhi. This price change results from the 18 percent GST benefit applied to new 350cc engines. The adjustment aims to make the Thruxton 400 more competitive in the Indian market.
Key Highlights
- Triumph Thruxton 400 now priced at Rs 2,65,538 ex-showroom Delhi
- 18 percent GST benefit applied to new 350cc engines
- Produces 41bhp and 37.5Nm with a top speed of 161kmph
- Wheelbase of 1,376mm and saddle height of 795mm for accessibility
- Triumph expands retail network to over 230 stores in 200 towns
Key Specifications and Performance
The Triumph Thruxton 400 produces 41bhp at 9,000rpm and 37.5Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 60kmph in 2.9 seconds and reaches 0 to 100kmph in 7.5 seconds. Its top speed is 161kmph. The Thruxton 400 uses an upside-down (USD) front fork and a monoshock at the rear for suspension duties.
The wheelbase measures 1,376mm, making it shorter than the Speed T4, Speed 400, and both Scrambler 400 models. This shorter wheelbase is expected to provide a more compact and agile riding experience. The ground clearance stands at 158mm, the lowest among its 400cc siblings. The saddle height is 795mm, making the Thruxton 400 accessible to a wide range of riders. The kerb weight is 183kg, which should be manageable for most users.
Braking and Market Position
The Thruxton 400 features a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear for braking. The updated specifications position it as one of the quicker motorcycles in Triumph's 400cc range. The combination of a lower seat height and a shorter wheelbase enhances its approachability without compromising its sporty character.
Triumph states that the updated line-up maintains the engineering quality, refinement, engine character, and fit and finish that have contributed to the popularity of the 400 range in India. The company is entering FY27 with strong confidence, supported by the success of the 400 range, a retail network of over 230 stores in more than 200 towns, and a growing community of mid-capacity motorcycle riders.
The revised price and updated features are expected to strengthen the Thruxton 400's appeal in the Indian mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
