Triumph Thruxton 400 Unveiled in India At Rs 2.74 Lakh
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Thruxton 400 in India, offering a retro-inspired cafe racer design combined with a powerful 398cc engine and modern technology.

Triumph India has recently announced that they have officially launched the highly anticipated motorcycle, the Thruxton 400, in India. The Triumph Thruxton 400 made its official debut on August 6, 2025, also marking a significant milestone in expanding the 400cc segment lineup in India. The new Thruxton 400 is inspired by the classic British cafe racer heritage.
The all-new Triumph Thruxton 400 carries some portions from the model, like the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400. However, the Thruxton 400 is positioning itself as a premium offering in the competitive cafe racer segment. Here’s everything you need to know about the all-new Thruxton 400.
Triumph Thruxton 400: Design and Dimension
The all-new Triumph Thruxton 400 shares some aesthetics with cafe racers under the Triumph’s portfolio. The bike shares its design contours with the Speed 400, highlighted by its semi-fairing, rounded LED headlamps, and clip-on handlebars. The front fascia of the bike offers bar-end mirrors and a few ergonomic changes.
Under the steel frame chassis, the bike is accompanied by the remote brake reservoir, a black USD fork, and refreshed side panels adorned by Thruxton badging wrapped under the accents. While looking at the bike from the rear, we see an LED taillight. The bike also made a few adjustments to the sitting position, while the fuel tank capacity remains the same at 13 liters.
Engine and Performance
The Triumph Thruxton 400 is powered by a 398 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 42 HP of power and 37.5 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is the most powerful iteration of Triumph’s TR-Series engine, tuned for an exhilarating ride. The bike is paired with a 6-speed gearbox for torque-rich performance, featuring a slipper clutch.
The Thruxton 400 tuned TR-Series engine also offers Bosch electronic fuel injection with electronic throttle control. Even the exhaust is equipped with a stainless twin-skin header system with a stainless steel silencer. The bike’s top speed is estimated to be about 161 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 6.7 seconds.
Features
Additionally, the bike features 43 mm USD fork pistons. The instrument panel is the same analog setup as that of the Speed 400. The 2025 Triumph Thruxton offers the following features for Indian customers, which are as follows:
