TVS Raider 125 Crosses 19 Lakh Sales, Ranks Third in 125cc Segment

The TVS Raider 125 has surpassed 19 lakh cumulative sales since its launch in September 2021. This milestone was achieved in less than five years, underscoring the model’s strong performance in the competitive 125cc motorcycle segment.

Sales Performance and Market Share

From its launch through March 2026, the TVS Raider 125 recorded domestic sales of 16.2 lakh units. In export markets, the model achieved 2.86 lakh units sold. Combined, these figures bring the Raider 125’s total sales to 19.06 lakh units.
Within India, the Raider 125 accounted for 31 percent of TVS Motor Company’s cumulative motorcycle sales of 52.7 lakh units during this period. In comparison, the TVS Apache series, which includes several models, sold 20.7 lakh units and held a 38 percent share of the company’s total motorcycle sales.
Yearly Sales Trends
The Raider 125 experienced its strongest performance in the financial year 2024. Sales doubled to 4.78 lakh units, up from 2.39 lakh units in FY2023. This made the Raider 125 TVS’ best-selling motorcycle that year, surpassing the Apache range by over one lakh units.
In FY2025, demand for the Raider 125 declined by 16 percent, with sales dropping to 3.99 lakh units. However, the model recovered in FY2026, posting a 7 percent year-on-year growth and reaching 4.27 lakh units sold.
Segment and Export Performance
In FY2026, the overall 110-125cc motorcycle segment in India remained stable, with total sales of 36.16 lakh units. The Raider 125 captured a 12 percent segment share with its 4.27 lakh units, ranking as the third best-selling model. The Honda Shine led the segment with 17.1 lakh units sold and a 47 percent share, followed by the Bajaj Pulsar with 7.75 lakh units and a 21 percent share.
On the export front, FY2026 was the Raider 125’s best year to date. TVS shipped 76,900 units overseas, marking an 8 percent year-on-year increase. This export volume accounted for 6 percent of TVS’ total motorcycle exports in that year.
