Bajaj Auto Ltd., the leading 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler company, celebrated a significant milestone with the sale of 19,000 Chetak electric scooters in Nagpur. The event was graced by Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, who also unveiled the latest model, Chetak 2901.
Chetak has seen remarkable success in Nagpur, selling 19,000 units due to its superior build quality, excellent ride experience, and advanced technological features. The Chetak 2901, the newest model in the lineup, is expected to continue this trend.
Features and Pricing of Chetak 2901
- Range and Affordability: The Chetak 2901 offers an impressive range of 126 km on a single charge. Priced at Rs. 99,998/- (ex-showroom), it is the most affordable model in the Chetak lineup.
- Advanced Features: The scooter comes with a Colored Digital Console, Alloy Wheels, and Bluetooth Connectivity. Additional features like Hill Hold, Reverse, Sport and Economy modes, Call and Music Control, Follow Me Home lights, and Bluetooth App connectivity are available with the TecPac upgrade.
- Color Options: Available in five exciting colors - Red, White, Black, Lime Yellow, and Azure Blue - the Chetak 2901 appeals to young and energetic riders seeking a stylish and reliable ride.
The launch of the Chetak 2901 marks a significant milestone in urban mobility, promising to redefine the electric scooter market with its combination of affordability, range, and style. Chetak's commitment to accessibility is reflected in its expanded dealership network, with over 500 showrooms across India.
The Chetak Premium, Chetak Urbane, and Chetak 2901 have received approval for the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) subsidy from the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI). Bajaj Auto Ltd. also participates in the Government of India's Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Electric Vehicles, further supporting the growth of electric mobility in the country.
