VinFast’s electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, have reached Indian dealerships ahead of their festive season launch. Both models offer modern design, advanced features, and impressive performance, marking a new chapter in India’s EV market.
VinFast is a Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer. The brand has rapidly emerged as a global competitor in the Indian automotive sector. The automotive brand was founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of VinGroup. The VinGroup is one of the largest business enterprises in Vietnam. Since 2017, there has been the production of cars and accessories. VinFast has quickly made a name for itself with bold design, innovative technology, and a strong commitment to sustainable mobility.
With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hai Phong and a growing international presence, the brand is determined to challenge established automakers and accelerate the global shift to electric vehicles. Now, VinFast has eyes on the Indian automotive market. The brand has decided to launch its two vehicles ahead of the 2025 festive season.
VinFast is making a plan with the Tamil Nadu government to establish an assembly line in Tamil Nadu to expand its portfolio of vehicles in the upcoming years.

The VinFast VF6 stands out with its contemporary, curvy silhouette and sporty integrated LED lighting signature. The front fascia of the car has sport-integrated LED DRLs that sweep down towards its authentic V logo. While looking from the rear, the sloping roofline and connected LED taillights further enhance its modern aesthetic look.

When getting behind the steering wheel, it feels spacious and comfortable. The dashboard has a good finish with minimalist ergonomic features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system. Some features include Apple CarPlay and ADAS.
Apart from features, it also offers ample boot space and comfortable seating. The brand has also provided multiple airbags and ESP to enhance safety for buyers.

Another model that is reaching Indian dealerships is the upgraded version of the existing model. The VinFast VF7 is the top-of-the-line model of the VinFast premium car series. When it comes to premium, the front fascia of the car becomes bold and has sharp creases running through the front grille, which looks impressive.

Inside the VF7, when you get behind the wheel, you will see a luxury cabin with premium leather seats. Even the upholstery feels premium. There will be a lesser use of plastics on ergonomic controls. Above the head, you get a panoramic sunroof. The dashboard has a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is also equipped with AC controls.
As it is the premium package, VF7 has a lot to offer. Some sophisticated features are wireless connectivity, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and a comprehensive ADAS system.
Unlike the VF6, this car also gets two powertrain options. The first is a single-motor front-wheel-drive (FWD). This will be the standard variant of the VF7 that will generate 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The second is the most premium model, which is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD). This particular engine is capable of delivering 354 bhp and 500 Nm. Both models will be paired with a 75.3 kWh battery.
VinFast, with two iconic models, the VF6 and VF7, has made a bold move to enter the Indian market. It will be good to see how the brand will perform in the festive season, as we can ensure some positive sales within its second quarter of 2025.
