Volkswagen Golf GTI First Batch Sold Out in India
The automaker has already announced plans to introduce its Golf GTI in India through the CBU route. However, the prices were not announced, and the pre-booking amount was set to Rs 2,65,370.
Volkswagen has announced that it is no longer accepting bookings for the upcoming Golf GTI premium hatchback as the first batch is sold out. The automaker commenced booking for its new Volkswagen Golf GTI on May 5, and now it seems that the performance hatchback has received a promising response from Indian customers that its first batch of 150 units has been sold out even before the final price announcement.

The automaker has already announced plans to introduce its Golf GTI in India through the CBU route. However, the prices were not announced, and the pre-booking amount was set to Rs 2,65,370. It also confirmed that only a few interested customers can purchase its premium hatchback.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Engine Specifications
Volkswagen Golf GTI has a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine setup enables the Golf GTI to deliver 245 horsepower of power delivery and 370 Nm of torque. While the engine powers only the front wheels, the hatchback can achieve 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and a 250 km/h top speed.
It gets an electronically controlled front axle differential lock and also has optional adaptive suspension and progressive steering with variable steering rack and pinion gearing for elevated performance levels.
Volkswagen Golf GTI: What to Expect?
Offering sporty appeal, the interior features a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel with a GTI badge in the center and tartan seat upholstery. It features a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch driver display, wireless charging, and a 7-speaker sound system.
Customers can expect the upcoming Volkswagen car to have a panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting. For the exterior, the hot-hatch gets four exterior color options, including Oryx White, Kings Red, Grenadilla Black, and Moonstone Grey Black.
It has a large honeycomb pattern air dam, LED headlamps, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo. There are 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, smoked LED taillamps, and twin exhaust tips.
