The updated Volkswagen Taigun has been revealed ahead of its official debut on 9 April. The facelifted model was spotted without camouflage, showcasing all major styling changes. The test vehicle is a left-hand drive version built in India for global markets. However, the India-spec Taigun is expected to feature identical updates.

Exterior and Design Updates

The new Taigun facelift takes design cues from the Volkswagen Tiguan and Tayron. The front features sleeker LED headlamps connected by an illuminated light bar. At the rear, the SUV receives updated tail lamp elements and reworked bumpers. The spotted unit is the GT Line variant, identified by GT badging and gloss black alloy wheels.
Interior Features and Powertrain


The facelifted Taigun is expected to offer a new digital instrument cluster and a panoramic sunroof. An updated infotainment interface will also be included. Under the hood, the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine is likely to be paired with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine will continue with the existing seven-speed DSG transmission.
Market Position and Launch
Volkswagen will officially debut the updated Taigun on 9 April. The model will continue to compete in the compact SUV segment. The updates aim to keep the Taigun competitive against its segment rivals.
