The upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads. Set to bring refreshed styling, new features, and possible tech upgrades.

The Volkswagen Taigun facelift has been seen testing on Indian roads, signaling an upcoming update for the compact SUV. The test vehicle, a left-hand-drive version with minimal camouflage, suggests Volkswagen may be preparing the model for export markets as well as domestic sales.
Key Highlights
- Volkswagen Taigun facelift spotted testing in India with minimal camouflage.
- Facelift features sleeker all-LED lighting and integrated fog lights in the headlight module.
- Engine options remain unchanged with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol units.
- Expected features include a 10-inch infotainment system, a digital cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.
- ADAS features are unlikely to be included in the facelift variant.
Exterior and Design Updates

The Volkswagen Taigun Facelift will feature subtle exterior changes. The all-LED lighting setup is sleeker than before, providing a modern look. Fog lights now appear integrated within the headlight module, a shift from their previous position near the air vents. The rear end retains its connected light design, with no major changes observed.
Engine and Mechanical Details
The Volkswagen Taigun facelift will remain mechanically unchanged. It will continue to offer a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 114 HP and 178 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter.
The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 147.5 HP and 250 Nm of torque, coupled with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. An eight-speed automatic unit, recently introduced in the Skoda Kushaq facelift, is also expected for the Taigun.
Interior Features and Equipment

The updated Taigun is expected to receive several new features, similar to those in the Skoda Kushaq facelift. These include a 10-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a full-LED lighting system, front parking sensors, wireless connectivity, a wireless charging pad, a cooled glovebox, rear seat massage function, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are unlikely, as the Kushaq facelift also omitted these features. With these updates, the Volkswagen Taigun facelift aims to enhance its appeal in both domestic and export markets, while maintaining its current engine lineup and adding new technology and comfort features.
