The Volkswagen Taigun has received updates that include design changes, new features, and a refreshed powertrain. The model continues in two main trims, 'Chrome' and 'Sport', across seven variants. The Topline variant sits in the mid-range, offering a blend of essential and convenience features from higher trims, though it omits some elements.
Key Highlights
- Volkswagen Taigun Topline gets design tweaks and added features
- Topline variant offers 17 inch alloy wheels and illuminated LED elements
- Interior includes dual tone theme, ventilated seats, and panoramic sunroof
- Powered by 1 litre turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic options
- Safety features include six airbags and electronic stability control
Exterior Design and Features

The Taigun Topline maintains its upright and defined exterior. A connected LED light bar and an illuminated Volkswagen logo now highlight the front, giving it a modern appearance. Silver inserts on the front bumper and skid plate provide contrast, while the design draws inspiration from the Tiguan.
From the side, the Topline features 17-inch alloy wheels, silver-finished roof rails, and chrome-finished door handles. Chrome garnish on the window line and body-coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators add to the look. At the rear, the illuminated logo and connected LED tail lamps create a distinctive appearance. The tail lamps feature welcome and goodbye lighting animations, lighting up in sequence when locking or unlocking the vehicle. A silver element on the rear bumper complements the design. All exterior colour options are available except for the Chrome Steel Matte shade.
Interior Features and Comfort

Inside, the Taigun Topline offers a dual-tone black and white cabin. The dashboard has a wood-like finish, and silver accents surround the AC vents and centre console. Leatherette seat upholstery and footwell illumination enhance the cabin's ambience. Practical features include a sliding front armrest, rear AC vents, a 60:40 split rear seat, and a rear armrest with cup holders.
The Topline variant adds several features over lower trims. These include a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, powered and ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and push-button start/stop. Other features are a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, and a wireless phone charger.
Engine and Safety
The Taigun Topline is available only with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options. The Taigun lineup also includes a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine for higher-spec variants. Safety features in the Topline include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, multi-collision braking, hill start assist, and a reverse parking camera with front and rear sensors.
Volkswagen has not yet announced prices for the Taigun facelift. The Topline variant offers a balanced set of features and design updates, appealing to buyers seeking a well-equipped model without opting for the top-spec trims or the more powerful engine.
