In the previous year, a Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype completed the circuit in 6 minutes and 22.09 seconds, making it seven seconds quicker than the Mercedes-AMG One.

Autonomous Driving System Details

During the autonomous lap, the YU7 GT navigated all 73 corners of the Nurburgring. The circuit features about 300 metres of elevation change and varying road surfaces. The vehicle managed these challenges without any driver intervention. Xiaomi states that its autonomous driving system constantly monitors vehicle behavior and road conditions.

The system controls steering, braking, and power delivery in real time to maintain stability, especially at high speeds.
