Skoda Kodiaq RS sold out in six minutes ahead of India launch
The Skoda Kodiaq RS is witnessing overwhelming demand in India, selling out within minutes and signaling strong interest in premium performance SUVs.

Skoda India has sold out the first batch of 50 units of the Kodiaq RS in just six minutes, according to the company. The Kodiaq RS is set to launch in India in the coming weeks. It features a powerful engine, advanced safety features, and a range of premium equipment.

Exterior and Interior Features
The Skoda Kodiaq RS is available in four monotone exterior colors: Moon White, Steel Grey, Velvet Red, and Magic Black. These colors are also offered on the standard Kodiaq, but the RS does not get Bronx Gold, Graphite Grey, or Race Blue. The RS variant features 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED Matrix headlights with all-weather and cornering functions, and a segmented light strip on the grille. It also includes LED taillights with welcome sequences and puddle lamps projecting the Skoda logo.

Inside, the Kodiaq RS offers an all-black theme with red accents and stitching. The cabin is equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also features a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 13-speaker Canton sound system with a subwoofer. Additional amenities include dual 15-watt wireless phone chargers with ventilation, three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered sunshades on the rear windows, and a powered tailgate.
The front sport seats are powered and offer ventilation, heating, memory functions, and manual thigh support extenders. The outside rearview mirrors are powered, auto-dimming, heated, and have memory functions.
Performance and Powertrain

The India-spec Skoda Kodiaq RS uses a retuned 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine produces 265 HP and 400 Nm of torque. These figures represent an increase of 61hp and 80Nm over the standard Kodiaq. The Kodiaq RS comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and all-wheel drive (AWD). It also features Dynamic Chassis Control Plus (DCC Plus) adaptive suspension. Skoda claims the Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 6.3 seconds, making it the fastest Skoda model ever launched in India.
Safety and Pricing
The Skoda Kodiaq RS comes with a comprehensive safety suite. It includes 9 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, auto park assist, and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM). Other features are hill start assist, descent control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Skoda will announce the Kodiaq RS pricing soon. Prices are expected to exceed the top-spec standard Kodiaq’s Rs 46.99 lakh (ex-showroom) price.
