Yamaha Tenere 700 Showcased at Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2025

​Yamaha showcased the Tenere 700 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Although the motorcycle received an update in the global market earlier this year, the model on display at the expo was the previous version. Reports suggest that Yamaha is preparing to launch the Tenere 700 in the Indian market, though the manufacturer has yet to confirm these plans. An official announcement is anticipated soon.

The Tenere 700 features a minimalist, bare-bones design with minimal body panels. At the front, it is equipped with a quad-projector LED headlamp and a tall windscreen. The bike rides on wire-spoke wheels, featuring a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear, both fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Adding to its modern appeal is a 5-inch full-colour TFT console with smartphone connectivity.

In terms of hardware, the Tenere 700 is built for rugged performance. It comes with a fully adjustable 43 mm inverted KYB front fork offering 210 mm of travel and a link-assisted KYB monoshock at the rear with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping, providing 200 mm of travel. Braking duties are managed by twin 282 mm discs with Brembo callipers at the front and a single 245 mm disc with a Brembo calliper at the rear. The motorcycle also features switchable ABS for added control.

The Tenere 700 boasts a seat height of 873 mm, a kerb weight of 203 kg, and an impressive ground clearance of 239 mm, making it well-suited for off-road adventures.
Powering the Tenere 700 is a 689 cc crossplane crankshaft parallel-twin engine that delivers 71 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 66 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.
