Automotive enthusiast Veer Saketh Peddareddypet is credited for the latest spy shots capturing the upcoming Alcazar facelift. The SUV, introduced in April 2021 as a 3-row version of the Creta, has been a consistent performer for Hyundai.

Launch Anticipation and Testing
With the Creta facelift already launched, the Alcazar facelift is expected to follow suit, potentially hitting the market by June 2024. However, before that, Hyundai enthusiasts can look forward to the launch of the Creta N Line on 11th March. The ongoing testing phase is revealing glimpses of what the facelifted Alcazar will offer.
Exterior and Interior Upgrades
The Alcazar facelift will inherit the overall styling of the new Creta but will feature a distinctive front fascia, refreshed grille and bumper, new alloy wheels, and unique tail lamps. Interior changes align with those seen in the new Creta, boasting dual 10.25-inch integrated screens, dual-zone climate control, and ventilated seats. A suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features is also expected.

Powertrain
The engine options for the Alcazar facelift will remain consistent with the current model. It will offer the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 160 PS and 253 Nm, with transmission choices including a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, producing 116 PS and 250 Nm, will be available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Sales Boost Anticipation
With the success of the new Creta, which secured 51,000 bookings within a month, Hyundai expects the Alcazar facelift to drive sales in the competitive midsize SUV segment. Competing against rivals like Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700, the Alcazar ranked 5th in January 2024 among the bestselling midsize SUVs. The anticipated updates might result in a marginal price hike from the current price range of Rs 16.77 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
CarBike360 Says
Anticipated to boost Hyundai's SUV lineup, the 2024 Alcazar facelift promises refreshing design and upgraded features. With continued powertrain excellence, it aims to replicate the success of the new Creta, appealing to discerning buyers in the competitive midsize SUV market.
