Bajaj Auto has launched the Avenger Street 220 in India, pricing it at Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is now listed on the company's official website. The Street 220 is priced slightly higher than the Avenger Cruise 220, which retails at Rs. 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

Key Highlights

  • Bajaj Avenger Street 220 launched in India at Rs 1.30 lakh ex-showroom
  • Shares a 220cc engine with Avenger Cruise 220, producing 19 HP and 17.6 Nm torque
  • Avenger Street 160 discontinued, leaving only Cruise 220 and Street 220 in the lineup
  • Street 220 features lower handlebars and a blacked-out theme with two colour options

Bajaj Auto has also discontinued the Avenger Street 160 in India. Currently, only the Avenger Cruise 220 and Avenger Street 220 remain available in the Avenger lineup for the Indian market.

Avenger Street 220 Engine and Performance

The Avenger Street 220 uses the same 220cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Avenger Cruise 220. This engine produces 19 HP at 8,500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 17.6 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Bajaj pairs this engine with a five-speed gearbox, offering a balance between city and highway riding.

Design and Features

The Avenger Street 220 features revised ergonomics, including a lower handlebar for a more street-focused and commanding riding position. Unlike the Cruise 220, the Street 220 does not include a pillion backrest. Instead, it features a small, stubby visor, replacing the taller windshield found on the Cruise 220.

The motorcycle adopts a blacked-out theme, enhancing its street appeal. Bajaj offers the Avenger Street 220 in two color options: Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red.

Current Avenger Lineup

With the discontinuation of the Avenger Street 160, Bajaj's Avenger range in India now consists of only two models: the Cruise 220 and the newly launched Street 220. Both models share the same engine but differ in design and ergonomics to cater to different rider preferences.

CarBike 360 Says

With its competitive pricing and proven mechanical setup, the Bajaj Avenger Street 220 continues to appeal to riders seeking a comfortable and stylish cruiser. Its easy riding dynamics, refined engine, and accessible seat height make it ideal for both city commutes and relaxed highway journeys, reinforcing Bajaj’s strong presence in the entry-level cruiser segment.
