Pricing and Variant Details
The 2026 Hyundai Exter is available in multiple variants across petrol manual, petrol AMT, and CNG options. Petrol manual variants start at Rs 5,79,900 for the HX 2 and go up to Rs 8,35,900 for the HX 8. AMT variants range from Rs 6,90,900 to Rs 9,41,900 for the top HX 10 trim. CNG variants are priced from Rs 6,99,900 for HX 2 to Rs 9,40,900 for HX 8. All prices are ex-showroom. Bookings are open at dealerships and online platforms.
Design and Dimension Updates

The new Hyundai Exter features a redesigned front fascia with a new centre garnish, an updated grille, revised bumpers, and new diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear profile includes a wing-type spoiler, an updated tailgate, and a revised C-pillar garnish. Hyundai positions the Exter as the tallest SUV in its segment, also offering the longest wheelbase. Dimensions are 3,830 mm in length, 1,723 mm in width, and 1,643 mm in height (with roof rails), with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm.
Interior and Comfort Enhancements

The cabin now features a dual-tone navy and grey interior, a 3D carbon-pattern dashboard, and a D-cut steering wheel. Hyundai introduces segment-first metal pedals. Other updates include a folding driver armrest, new seat upholstery, and improved ergonomics. Driver seat height adjustment and adjustable rear headrests are now standard. The boot capacity remains at 391 litres, with generous cabin space.
Technology and Safety Features
The Exter now offers a segment-first dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a rear Type-C USB charging port. There are over 60 BlueLink connected car features and more than 300 embedded voice commands, usable without internet. Other features include an electric sunroof, a digital instrument cluster, and OTA updates for maps and infotainment.
Safety is a focus, with more than 45 advanced safety features and 30 standard safety features across all variants. Six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist (HAC) are standard.
Engine and Colour Options
The Exter continues with a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, available with manual and AMT gearboxes. It remains the only SUV in the segment with a 4-cylinder petrol engine. The CNG variant features a dual-cylinder setup and an underbody spare wheel, providing about 225 litres of usable luggage space.
The Exter is available in seven monotone and one dual-tone color options. New shades include Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte. Other colors are Titan Grey, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titanium Black, and Ranger Khaki, along with a Ranger Khaki dual tone with a black roof.
