The sixth-generation Hyundai Verna, launched in 2023, received a minor facelift in 2026. Hyundai has introduced new features, updated the design slightly, and changed the variant nomenclature. The Verna now comes in six variants: HX 2, HX 4, HX 6, HX 6+, HX 8, and HX 10. Prices range from Rs 10.98 lakh to Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The sedan continues to compete with the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Honda City.

The base HX 2 variant offers essential features only. It comes with 15-inch steel wheels with covers, power windows, manual air conditioning, keyless entry, electrically adjustable outside mirrors, and a rear center armrest with cupholders. The HX 2 lacks premium lighting, a rear spoiler, and chrome door handles and does not include a touchscreen or speakers.

The HX 4 variant adds tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, cruise control, automatic air conditioning with rear vents, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. From HX 6 onwards, the Verna receives all LED lighting, a rear spoiler, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The cabin features black and beige upholstery for the 1.5 petrol and black with red accents for the 1.5 turbo-petrol. Leatherette padding is present on the steering wheel and gear knob.

The HX 6+ variant introduces a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof, rear window sunshades, and leatherette seats. The HX 8 and HX 10 variants offer a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, powered driver and co-driver seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a Bose sound system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available via an adapter with the larger screen.

Safety and Powertrain Options

The Hyundai Verna facelift variants include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), rear parking sensors, hill start assist, rear defogger, auto headlamps, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. A tyre pressure monitoring system is available from the HX 4 variant, while a rearview camera is added in the HX 6 variant. Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is exclusive to the HX 8 turbo-petrol variant. The top-spec HX 10 offers seven airbags.

The engine lineup remains unchanged. The Verna offers two petrol engines: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. Both engines are available with manual and automatic transmission options, including CVT and dual-clutch automatic.

Pricing and Market Position

The facelifted Hyundai Verna is priced between Rs 10.98 lakh and Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The base HX 2 is a budget-friendly option with limited features. The HX 4 variant adds key daily-use features and infotainment. The HX 6+ and higher variants provide more equipment, premium interiors, and advanced safety features. The Verna continues to compete with other compact sedans in the segment.
