Hyundai Motors is making ways to revamp all its existing models into new avatars. With the recent launch of the all-new Venue Facelift and N-Line, Hyundai is preparing to make big changes to its best-selling sedan, Verna. Recent spy shots from South Korea capture the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift in a striking red paint scheme, heavily camouflaged yet revealing further updates.

This new upcoming sedan is under production, and from the recent spy shots revealed, we can say that the 2026 facelift version of the Verna will have a lot more to offer. The brand will position it strongly against rivals such as the Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus. The sedan enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for this car to hit the road as soon as possible. However, we can expect an official launch on Christmas 2025 or in 2026.

Refreshed, Streamlined Design

The existing Hyundai Verna is in its fourth generation, launched in 2023. It continues to draw Indian buyers with its bold design and turbo performance. Now, the recent images from South Korea show a red-colored Verna facelift test mule. As the car was heavily camouflaged, the vehicle’s side profile was exposed. This might be the same test mule that was spied testing in India before.

Spy images show revised bumpers, a more pronounced hexagonal grille, and updated LED DRLs for a sharper look. The side profile remains familiar with existing alloy wheels, while connected LED taillamps with signature dots are retained. Recent South Korean sightings in red emphasize a sportier stance without drastic overhauls.

2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: Interior and Tech Upgrades

Rear Design Profile

Interiors steal the spotlight with a curved dual-screen setup, likely two 12.3-inch displays akin to the 2025 Hyundai Venue, replacing the current 10.25-inch units. However, we can expect a refreshed steering wheel, new upholstery, and potentially rear ventilated seats alongside an enhanced infotainment UI.

Talking about its safety features, the car will offer a certified 5-star Global NCAP rating for both adult and child protection, the same as the current-generation model offers. The most important feature will be the addition of the ADAS Level 2 suite, again inspired by the new generation of Hyundai siblings. Other possible safety upgrades include:

  • Forward collision protection
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Advanced Cruise Control with Stop & Go
  • Driver Attention Warning

Multiple Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the car will have no mechanical changes. The car will have the same engine configuration setup, which is as follows:

  • The base model might offer a 1.5L MPi petrol engine, which produces 115 HP and 143.8 Nm of peak torque. This robust engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual or IVT transmission system.
  • Then comes a 1.5L turbo GDi petrol engine that produces 160 HP and 253 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, or a 7-speed DCT will also be available as an option to consumers.

India Launch Timeline

Multiple sightings on Indian roads and reports confirm a 2026 debut, possibly early in the year, around the festive season, or by March 2026. Hyundai's testing in Ooty and elsewhere underscores localization efforts.

Conclusion

As the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift edges closer to its India launch, these spy shots ignite excitement for a sharper, tech-loaded sedan ready to reignite the C-segment battle.
