The updated 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to feature major cosmetic and feature enhancements. Spy images indicate revised front and rear styling, updated LED lighting, and new alloy wheels. The rear tail lamp design appears different from the current model, and the front fascia is likely to get a refreshed grille and bumper.

Inside, the Brezza facelift is anticipated to offer new technology features, an upgraded infotainment system, and revised interior trims. Mechanically, the model is expected to retain the 1.5-litre petrol engine and CNG options. Maruti Suzuki may introduce hybrid technology at a later stage. The Brezza remains a key player in Maruti's compact SUV lineup.

The second test mule, with a flat and tall roofline and longer rear overhangs, points to a three-row MPV body style. This aligns with reports of Maruti Suzuki developing the YMC electric MPV, expected to be the company's first all-electric MPV for India. The YMC will use the eVX platform, which is a skateboard EV architecture developed jointly by Suzuki and Toyota.

The YMC electric MPV is projected to launch in India between late 2026 and 2027. It will likely share its battery packs, motors, and core electrical systems with the upcoming eVitara electric SUV. Expected battery options include 49 kWh and 61 kWh packs, with a potential range of up to 550 km on a full charge. The MPV will share several interior and exterior components with the eVitara to optimize production costs, but will focus on maximizing cabin space and practicality.

Future Maruti MPV Plans

Maruti Suzuki is also working on a new-generation Ertiga, expected to launch around 2028. The current Ertiga remains one of India's top-selling MPVs but has not received a major generational update in recent years. The next-generation Ertiga is expected to feature significant design, interior, and technology upgrades. Alongside petrol and CNG options, a strong hybrid variant may be introduced to expand Maruti's hybrid offerings.

This approach allows Maruti Suzuki to target a broad range of MPV buyers, from conventional internal combustion engine customers to those seeking hybrid or electric models. The YMC electric MPV, once launched, will join Maruti's three-row lineup, which currently includes the Ertiga, XL6, and Invicto. Maruti Suzuki's strategy includes aggressive expansion into hybrids, EVs, and new-generation SUVs and MPVs, with the YMC electric MPV playing a key role in its EV portfolio.
