Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new e Vitara, entering the mass-market electric SUV segment. The e Vitara features a modern design, a feature-rich cabin, and multiple battery pack options. Its competitive claimed range figures position it as a direct rival to the Mahindra BE 6. The BE 6 stands out for its futuristic design, advanced features, and strong performance. This comparison examines the key differences between the Maruti e Vitara and the Mahindra BE 6.
The Maruti e Vitara starts at Rs 10.99 lakh with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) pricing. Higher variants show a price difference of up to Rs 7.64 lakh compared to the BE 6. The BE 6, being an older model, may offer more room for negotiation at dealerships. Buyers should check with local dealers for the latest offers and discounts.

The Mahindra BE 6 is larger than the e Vitara. It is longer, wider, and has a bigger wheelbase, which may result in a more spacious cabin. The e Vitara, with its traditional SUV styling, stands taller. The BE 6’s unique design highlights its larger dimensions, while the e Vitara maintains a rugged and sporty appearance.

Both the e Vitara and the BE 6 offer two battery pack options, each providing a claimed range of over 500 km. The Mahindra BE 6 offers a higher claimed range of up to 683 km. It also delivers over 100 PS more power and nearly double the torque compared to the e Vitara. The BE 6’s 79 kWh battery pack sets it apart in terms of performance. The e Vitara’s battery and range figures remain competitive for its price segment.

The Mahindra BE 6 offers more premium features, including a larger infotainment display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a head-up display, a powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and an air purifier.
The e Vitara includes features such as a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10-speaker Infinity sound system. Both vehicles come equipped with safety features like 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, TPMS, parking sensors, and level-2 ADAS.
The Maruti e Vitara offers strong value, a competitive range, and a well-equipped cabin at a lower price, making it suitable for urban buyers and small families. The Mahindra BE 6 caters to those seeking higher performance, more features, and a premium experience, albeit at a higher cost. Buyers should consider their priorities and budget when choosing between these two electric SUVs.
