Design, Features, and Pricing

The 2026 MINI Countryman C will be available in five exterior colors: Chilli Red, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue, and Smokey Green. Its design will resemble the Countryman Electric, but with a revised grille and bumpers. The car will feature body-colored door handles, black outside rearview mirror housings, black door pillars, and a black roof. Champagne-colored exterior trim, alloy wheels, and matrix LED taillamps will also be included.
Inside, the Countryman C is expected to share design elements with other Mini models, including the Countryman Electric. The cabin may offer a dual-tone theme with champagne-coloured trim, a circular touchscreen, a high-end audio system, paddleshifters, and a head-up display. These features aim to provide a premium experience for occupants.
The 2026 Mini Countryman C will be assembled locally in India. It will be priced below the Countryman JCW All4, which currently retails at Rs 64.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing strategy is intended to make the Countryman C a more accessible option within Mini’s SUV lineup.
Engine and Performance Details
The 2026 Mini Countryman C will feature a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol direct-injection engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. While Mini India has not disclosed the engine’s exact specifications, it is expected to use the three-cylinder engine found in the BMW X1. In the BMW X1, this engine delivers 136 HP and 230 Nm of torque. For comparison, the Countryman JCW All4 comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that produces 300 HP and 400 Nm of torque.
Market Position and Rivals
The 2026 Mini Countryman C will compete with several established models in the Indian market. Its main rivals include the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA. By offering a more affordable alternative to the JCW All4, MINI aims to attract buyers looking for a premium SUV with distinctive styling and features.
The Countryman C’s launch follows recent developments in the Indian automotive sector, such as the recall of the Mercedes G-Class Electric over a potential wheel bolt issue and Maruti’s confirmation to showcase India’s first flex-fuel car on June 4.
