Mercedes-Benz G-Class Highlights

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a perfect example of the amalgamation of luxury with ruggedness. The car has been in production for over 70 years now. In India, the G-Class is available as the G63 AMG. The boxy lines of the car are still there along with the large engine line up. The car also has the modern Mercedes language to bring this car to the modern generation. Mercedes G-Class now comes with little updates that give it a more refined look, without changing any of its rugged looks. The exterior looks as boxy and tall as it used to be. The same is with the interior design as well. The updates give the cabin a more contemporary look. Mercedes G63 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The engine produces 577bhp of power and 850 Nm of peak torque. With excellent power, the fuel efficiency of the car goes up too, thanks to the addition of a 9-speed automatic instead of the outgoing model's 7-speed and cylinder deactivation technology. The car goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of almost 240kmph. AMG has also upgraded the suspension and the design of the G6, with G-Class's independent double-wishbone suspension at the front and five-link setup at the rear. With adaptive dampers and coil springs at each corner, the car also reduces body roll with has additional transverse stabilizers at both ends. Mercedes G63 competes with the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, BMW X5 M and the Range Rover Sport.
