The 2026 Renault Duster is available in five trims: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+, and Iconic. Buyers can choose from three powertrain options, resulting in about 22 standard variants. The SUV comes in six monotone colors, including Mountain Jade Green, Stealth Black, Sunset Red, River Blue, Pearl White, and Moonlight Silver.

The exterior features a bold Duster badge on the front, 18-inch wheels, and 225-section tyres. The front design includes large headlights, LED DRLs, a faux skid plate, and muscular bonnet lines. The side profile maintains a classic SUV stance, while the rear includes connected LED taillights and a powered tailgate. The rear door handles are positioned on the pillars, and the vehicle uses proximity-based lock and unlock functions.

Inside, the Duster offers a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with built-in Google services, a 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster, and dual-zone climate control. Both front seats are electrically operated, ventilated, and include adjustable lumbar support. Other notable features are a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, Type-C ports, Level-2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX seat mounts. The boot space is 700 liters when loaded to the roof, and the boot floor is flat for easier storage.

Performance and Driving Experience

The Duster TCe 160 MT variant uses a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine, producing 160 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is a four-cylinder unit with a turbocharger, offering brisk acceleration and a refined driving experience. The manual gearbox has a noticeable gap between second and third gears, which is more apparent on hilly roads. The 6-speed DCT variant includes rear disc brakes, an electronic parking brake, and the full suite of ADAS features.

The Duster maintains a high ground clearance of 212 mm, the highest in its segment. The suspension setup provides good bump absorption, and the steering offers confidence in tight spaces. The cabin remains quiet, with minimal rattles even on rough roads. The vehicle does not include a spare wheel in the Launch Edition but provides practical storage solutions and a powered tailgate.

Market Position and Pricing

The new Duster stands out with its combination of features, performance, and pricing. The starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom) with R Pass makes it competitive in its segment. The turbo petrol engine comes as standard, which is not common among rivals. While some areas, such as rear knee room and music system bass, could see improvement, the Duster offers a strong value proposition for buyers seeking a petrol SUV with modern features.
