Key Features and Design Updates
The new Burgman Street follows the ‘One & Only’ concept, focusing on premium design, comfort, and daily usability. Since its 2018 debut, the Burgman has become one of the fastest-growing scooters in its class, with over 1.1 million customers. The latest model adopts a "Sleek Modern" design theme. It features sharper bodywork, split LED headlamps with position lights, LED tail lamps, compact turn indicators, a smoked windscreen, and metallic-finish emblems. The maxi-scooter stance remains, but the look is now more premium.
The Ride Connect TFT Edition introduces a 4.2-inch colour TFT display with Suzuki Ride Connect features. This variant also offers keyless ignition with a remote fob and answer-back function. Other features include a USB charging port, dual front storage compartments, dual utility hooks, an engine start/stop system, side stand interlock, and waterproof switches.
Comfort, Practicality, and Performance
Comfort and practicality have been improved. The scooter now has a longer, well-padded seat, a flexible floorboard with front footrests, a redesigned grab rail, and aluminium pillion footpegs. Underseat storage is 24.6 litres. The fuel tank holds 5.5 litres and features a tail-mounted fuel lid for easier refuelling.
The Burgman Street is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine based on Suzuki’s SEP platform. It produces 6.2 kW at 6,500 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm. Torque has increased slightly to improve low and mid-range performance for city riding. The scooter uses a lightweight, rigid frame with telescopic front suspension and swingarm-type rear suspension. Combined Braking System (CBS) ensures balanced braking.
With added technology, improved practicality, and updated styling, the new Burgman Street aims to strengthen its position in the premium 125cc scooter market.
