2027 Hyundai Creta spotted testing with bigger dimensions and new features
The next-gen Hyundai Creta was spotted with a larger footprint, updated styling, and feature upgrades. A big evolution is on the way.

The upcoming 2027 Hyundai Creta has been seen testing in the United States, revealing a visibly larger size and stronger road presence. The third-generation Creta will use the new K3 platform, which brings improved driving dynamics and enhanced safety. Hyundai aims to further strengthen the Creta's position in the competitive compact SUV segment with this update.
Key Highlights
- 2027 Hyundai Creta adopts new K3 platform for improved dynamics and safety
- New model expected to be close to 4500 mm in length
- Interior upgrades include larger screens and enhanced features
- Current powertrain options will continue at launch with a hybrid in development
Exterior and Platform Updates

Recent spy shots show the new Creta with heavy camouflage, but some design elements are visible. The SUV features rectangular headlamps, an upright bonnet, and a boxy profile. Side details include new alloy wheels, dual-tone ORVMs with integrated turn signals, a shark fin antenna, and a slightly tapering roofline. Earlier images also revealed pixel-style lighting elements.
The new Creta is expected to receive a refreshed grille and redesigned front and rear bumpers. Dimensionally, it will be larger than the current model, which measures 4,330 mm in length. The new version could approach 4,500 mm, enabled by the K3 platform. For comparison, another model on the K3 platform measures 4,460 mm. The platform also provides improved rigidity, lower NVH levels, and greater structural strength.
Interior Features and Boot Space

The increased size of the new 2027 Hyundai Creta will likely result in more spacious interiors and a larger boot. Boot space is a key area of competition in this segment. For reference, the all-new Sierra offers a 622-litre boot, while the new Renault Duster provides up to 700 litres. A larger boot appeals to families and frequent travelers.
Inside, the new Creta is expected to feature a redesigned steering wheel with Hyundai’s 4-dot logo. Instrument and infotainment screens are likely to be larger and may offer a refreshed user interface. Previous test mules showed features like Boss Mode and headrests for all second-row passengers. Additional upgrades in the ADAS suite and connectivity features are also anticipated.
Powertrain and Launch Timeline
At launch, the third-generation Creta is expected to retain its current powertrain options. These include a 115 PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and a 116 PS 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and IVT for the NA petrol, a 7-speed DCT for the turbo petrol, and both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic for the diesel. Hyundai is also developing a strong hybrid powertrain, which may be introduced later.
The new Hyundai Creta is likely to launch in India either later this year or in 2027. It will continue to compete with rivals such as the Tata Sierra, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
