Skoda's second-gen Kodiaq SUV to launch in India between April-June 2025, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and advanced tech.

The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq, which made its world debut in October 2023, is scheduled to be placed in the Indian market between April to June of 2025. With Skoda India promising adherence to regional homologation standards, Kodiaq SUV will be imported into India under the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) procedure. According to Skoda India, the reason for the delay is that new racks for the right-hand drive variant are being developed to facilitate the efficient transportation of parts.
The new Kodiaq will use the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine as its predecessor that produces 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, together with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. All four wheels receive power from this powertrain, providing strong handling and performance.
The India-spec Kodiaq will likely mirror the European model's equipment, including a new 13-inch freestanding touchscreen that controls most vehicle functions. Along with three new physical "smart dials" for infotainment and climate control, it will also include a fully digital instrument cluster.
At Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kodiaq is presently offered in a single, fully-loaded L&K version. A price increase is expected with the release of the new model because of its improved features and new developments.
Before the second-gen Kodiaq comes into the scene, Skoda is preparing to introduce a new compact SUV in February 2025. The brand plans to leave this new model free to develop before the Kodiaq enters. In order to keep up its strong force in the Indian auto market, Skoda now has plans to roll out the second generation Kodiaq SUV with more durability and advanced features. The new model is expected to come with additional features while keeping the standards of the company intact.
