Ducati has unveiled the updated Multistrada V2 and V2 S for 2025. These updated versions include significant improvements in performance, weight, and technology. Here’s an overview of what the new models bring to the table.
Engine and Performance
The 2025 Multistrada V2 is powered by a new 890cc V-twin engine, which produces 115 hp and 92 Nm of torque. This engine is derived from the powerplants used in the Streetfighter and Panigale V2 but is specifically tuned for adventure touring. The bike features a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slipper clutch and a bidirectional quick-shifter for seamless gear transitions.
Weight Reduction and Chassis Design
One of the game-changing updates of the new Multistrada V2 is its weight reduction. The base model has cut down to 199 kg and 202 kg for the S variant. This was done through a redesigned aluminum monocoque frame that replaces the previous trellis design.
Suspension and Braking
Both variants come with fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension, but only the S version includes electronically adjustable shock absorbers. The braking system includes Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers with dual 320mm front discs and a 265mm rear disc for reliable braking at high speeds.
Advanced Electronics
The Multistrada V2 also includes an impressive suite of electronics for rider safety and comfort. This includes traction control, multiple riding modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, power modes, and engine braking control. These all features are controlled by a 5-inch TFT display. Additionally, the bike has a 6-axis IMU for improved handling control and dynamics.
Style and Design
Aside from mechanical updates, the motorcycle has also upgraded its looks and design by giving the front an aggressive look at the front with LED headlights inspired by the Panigale series. Also, the bike maintains its iconic design but includes new aerodynamic elements to improve airflow around the rider.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, Ducati's Multistrada V2 lineup is priced at approximately ₹16.36 lacs for the base model and ₹18.99 lacs for the S variant both in (ex-showroom). The new 890cc models are expected to hit Indian markets in early 2025. Moreover, it is also expected that these models will launch within a similar price range with minor adjustments.
In summary, the 2025 Ducati Multistrada V2 represents a major evolution in Ducati's adventure touring series by combining better performance with advanced features while maintaining its iconic picture.
