Bajaj Adventure motorcycle spotted testing with KTM derived engine
Bajaj is gearing up to enter the adventure segment with a new motorcycle powered by a KTM-based engine. Recent spy shots hint at a rugged design, long-travel suspension, and strong touring capabilities, making it a promising option for Indian riders.

Bajaj is preparing to enter the adventure and dual-sport motorcycle segment. A new Bajaj motorcycle has been seen testing, featuring a design similar to the KTM 390 Enduro R. This marks Bajaj's first significant move into this category after years of absence.
Key Highlights
- Bajaj adventure motorcycle spotted testing with dual-sport design elements
- Possible use of 250cc or 350cc engine with KTM-derived features
- Expected launch by late 2026 or early 2027
Design and Features

The test model displays a tall, beak-like front fender, a slim fuel tank, and a long single-piece seat. The rear section resembles other bikes in the Pulsar lineup, including a split LED lighting setup. An upswept exhaust at the back adds to the rugged appearance. The overall silhouette is typical of dual-sport motorcycles.
The motorcycle's engine crankcase suggests it may use either a 250cc or 350cc engine. Some design elements hint at a KTM connection, but this is not confirmed. The bike was seen testing alongside the Pulsar N250, which increases the likelihood of it using the same engine.
Engine and Performance
The Pulsar N250 features a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 24.1 HP and 21.5 Nm of torque. If the new adventure model uses this engine, it would offer similar performance figures. The bike includes long-travel suspension, with offset telescopic forks at the front and a link-type monoshock at the rear. These features are standard for adventure and dual-sport motorcycles.
The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup. This configuration supports off-road riding. However, the likely use of tube-type tyres may limit its appeal for long-distance touring. Despite this, the hardware should provide adequate off-road capability.
Market Position and Launch Timeline
The test mule appears close to production-ready. Bajaj may launch the motorcycle by late 2026 or early 2027. If the model uses a KTM-derived engine, it could compete with 300cc adventure motorcycles. This would position it as a more affordable alternative in the segment.
