Revised Naming and Variant Structure

The updated Bajaj Chetak lineup introduces a simplified 'C Series' naming structure. Models are now grouped as the C25, C30, and C35 series. This change aims to align the lineup with newer variants. Despite the new names, the suffix-based variant hierarchy continues, which may still require some adjustment for buyers.
Feature and Performance Upgrades
Higher-spec variants receive the most significant feature additions. The C3501 now includes integrated navigation using Google Maps through the Chetak app. Its motor output increases to 4.8 kW, raising the top speed to 80 km/hr.
Performance improvements extend across the range. The C35 series now reaches a top speed of 80 km/hr. Select C30 variants see their top speeds increase to 70 km/hr, while the entry-level C25 variant can now reach 60 km/hr.
Claimed range figures are up to 153 km for the C35, 127 km for the C30, and 113 km for the C25 series. Bajaj has also standardized several features across more variants. Ride modes, including Eco and Sport, and hill-hold assist are now standard on the C35 and C30 series.
Charging and Connectivity Enhancements
Charging times have improved for some models. The C3001 can now charge from 0 to 80 percent in under three hours. Select variants also support over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing users to receive software improvements without visiting a service centre.
These updates aim to improve the usability and appeal of the Chetak range. Bajaj offers more features as standard while keeping prices competitive. However, the new naming strategy may still take time for buyers to fully understand.
