For years, rumors have swirled about a 400cc addition to the Pulsar lineup, with enthusiasts eagerly anticipating its arrival since the introduction of the Pulsar NS200 in India. Finally, Bajaj Auto has put an end to the speculation by confirming the launch of its largest Pulsar yet, scheduled for May 3rd. The motorcycle will bear the nameplate Pulsar NS400.

Frame and Suspension

Given the manufacturer's choice to incorporate the 'NS' moniker into the name, it is likely that the frame will be shared with the existing Pulsar NS200. Consequently, enthusiasts can anticipate a Perimeter frame suspended by upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are expected to be handled by disc brakes at both ends, possibly sharing hardware with the Pulsar N250 and Pulsar NS200 models.

Features

In terms of features, the Pulsar NS400 is expected to boast a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with three selectable modes: Rain, Road, and On/Off. Additionally, a new set of switchgear will be introduced to control the advanced instrument cluster, which is also likely to be shared with other upcoming Pulsar models.

The all-new all-digital instrument cluster will offer Bluetooth connectivity through the Bajaj Ride Connect mobile application, enabling features such as notifications and call management.

Furthermore, the cluster will include a USB port for convenient mobile device charging, along with real-time updates on fuel consumption, average fuel economy, and gear position.

Engine Speculation

As of now, Bajaj Auto has not confirmed which engine will power the upcoming NS400 model. It could potentially feature the 373cc unit currently used in the Dominar 400, which originates from the previous-generation 390 Duke. Alternatively, Bajaj may opt to rework the new 399cc engine introduced with the latest iteration of the 390 Duke.

CarBike360 Says

Bajaj Auto's confirmation of the launch date for the highly anticipated Pulsar NS400 marks a significant moment for motorcycle enthusiasts. With its promising features such as advanced ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, and a sleek all-digital instrument cluster, the NS400 is poised to make waves in the market. While engine speculation adds to the excitement, only time will tell which power plant Bajaj selects for this eagerly awaited model.
