BMW India has introduced the new M2 CS at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.66 crore. This marks the debut of the M2 CS in India, where it will be available as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) in limited numbers. The M2 CS stands as the most performance-focused version of the M2, offering increased power, reduced weight, and several track-oriented enhancements.

Performance and Engineering
The new BMW M2 CS is powered by an upgraded 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder S58 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. This engine delivers 530 HP and 650 Nm of peak torque, which is 50 HP more than the standard M2. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302 kmph. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. The CS version is approximately 30 kg lighter than the standard model, enhancing its overall performance.
The M2 CS features a reworked chassis, with the suspension lowered by 8 mm and specially tuned springs, dampers, and control systems. Dynamic Stability Control and M Dynamic Mode have been optimized for track use. M Compound brakes are standard, while M Carbon ceramic brakes are available as an option. The car rides on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged alloy wheels finished in Gold Bronze and comes equipped with track tyres.
Design and Features

The exterior of the M2 CS uses carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) for the roof, boot lid, mirror caps, and rear diffuser. A ducktail spoiler improves aerodynamics and stability. The kidney grille has a unique design with larger air intakes, and the rear features quad exhaust tips in matte black.
Inside, the cabin emphasizes lightweight materials, including M Carbon bucket seats, an Alcantara steering wheel with carbon inserts, Merino leather upholstery, and a carbon fibre centre console. The interior also includes illuminated CS branding and ambient lighting. Technology features include BMW Operating System 8.5, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon sound system, and connected services.
Advanced Driving Technologies
The M2 CS offers multiple drive modes, including Track mode, a 10-stage M Traction Control, M Drift Analyzer, and a lap timer. Adaptive M suspension is standard, balancing everyday usability with track performance.
Track Record and Availability

The new BMW M2 CS completed the 20.8 km Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in 7 minutes 25.5 seconds, making it the fastest compact car on the track.
