BMW Motorrad is set to revolutionize the Indian adventure motorcycle segment with the launch of the highly anticipated F450 GS in January 2026. This new model, manufactured locally in collaboration with TVS Motor Company at their Hosur plant, serves as a successor to the popular G310 GS. The vehicle will be responsible for attracting riders across the nation and showcasing superior performance in the entry-level premium ADV segment.
Deliveries are expected to commence by late February 2026, marking a significant moment for BMW Motorrad’s strategic expansion in India. This upcoming adventure bike from BMW will give tough competition to rivals such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. The bike’s early booking has started at the authorized dealership. Let’s check out what possible specs and features this bike offers for the Indian customers.
The BMW F450 GS offers rugged aesthetics with a practical design. The bike weighs about 178 kg (wet). It features a 14-liter fuel tank that balances capacity with agility. Seat height stands at 845 mm, making it accessible to a broad range of riders without compromising comfort on long rides. Moreover, the wheelbase is 1465 mm, offering stability at high speeds and when tackling uneven surfaces.
The bike’s aggressive styling is accentuated by tubeless spoked wheels (optional on higher-end variants) and large disc brakes—including a 310 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear.

Under the trellis frame, the F450 GS will be powered by a 420 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces about 48 HP and 43 Nm of peak torque. Its unique 135-degree firing order gives it a distinctive exhaust note and minimizes vibrations, enhancing rider comfort over long journeys. The bike is equipped with a 6-speed transmission paired with an Easy Ride Clutch for effortless gear shifts, which contributes to seamless handling in diverse riding conditions.
It boasts a 6.5-inch full-color TFT display that provides comprehensive ride data, including navigation and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. Riders benefit from heated grips, LED headlights for superior illumination, and multiple ride modes—namely Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Enduro.
From a safety perspective, the motorcycle includes enhancements such as the latest generation cornering ABS, traction control adapted to the different modes, and dynamic brake control to maximize braking efficiency. The motorcycle is offered in multiple variants—Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy.

With the launch of the F 450 GS, BMW Motorrad strengthens its foothold in India’s ongoing adventure motorcycle market. The bike is tailored to meet the demands of new adventure riders and seasoned motorcyclists alike, combining the heritage and prestige of the BMW GS brand with affordability and advanced technology.
The bike is priced attractively around Rs 4.5 lakh, and it undercuts competitors like the Honda NX500 yet excels in technological sophistication over rivals such as the Himalayan 450.
The BMW F 450 GS is set to excite adventure enthusiasts with its perfect blend of power, technology, and style. Get ready to conquer every terrain and elevate your riding experience when it launches in India this January 2026.
