Deliveries are expected to commence by late February 2026, marking a significant moment for BMW Motorrad’s strategic expansion in India. This upcoming adventure bike from BMW will give tough competition to rivals such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. The bike’s early booking has started at the authorized dealership. Let’s check out what possible specs and features this bike offers for the Indian customers.

Adventurous Design

The BMW F450 GS offers rugged aesthetics with a practical design. The bike weighs about 178 kg (wet). It features a 14-liter fuel tank that balances capacity with agility. Seat height stands at 845 mm, making it accessible to a broad range of riders without compromising comfort on long rides. Moreover, the wheelbase is 1465 mm, offering stability at high speeds and when tackling uneven surfaces.

The bike’s aggressive styling is accentuated by tubeless spoked wheels (optional on higher-end variants) and large disc brakes—including a 310 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear.

Under the trellis frame, the F450 GS will be powered by a 420 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces about 48 HP and 43 Nm of peak torque. Its unique 135-degree firing order gives it a distinctive exhaust note and minimizes vibrations, enhancing rider comfort over long journeys. The bike is equipped with a 6-speed transmission paired with an Easy Ride Clutch for effortless gear shifts, which contributes to seamless handling in diverse riding conditions.

BMW F450 GS: Racing-Tech Features

It boasts a 6.5-inch full-color TFT display that provides comprehensive ride data, including navigation and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. Riders benefit from heated grips, LED headlights for superior illumination, and multiple ride modes—namely Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Enduro.

From a safety perspective, the motorcycle includes enhancements such as the latest generation cornering ABS, traction control adapted to the different modes, and dynamic brake control to maximize braking efficiency. The motorcycle is offered in multiple variants—Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy.
