The internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the BMW X1 will continue to use the UKL2 modular platform. The facelifted X1 will adopt design elements from BMW's Neue Klasse design language. Externally, the test vehicle features a new headlight design, blacked-out alloy wheels, and blue brake callipers. Inside, the updated X1 is expected to incorporate functional elements from the Neue Klasse design language.
