Mahindra & Mahindra is reportedly testing its new generation of Bolero SUV. Based on the spy shot on the internet, the camouflaged test mule is said to be the next-generation Mahindra Bolero. With its iconic name and next-generation feature enhancement, the test mule hints the vehicle can be based on the NFA platform. Mahindra Bolero SUV generates the highest sales figure in semi-urban and rural regions of the country. The SUV is known for its rugged build quality, impressive power output, and spacious seating capacity for six to seven people.

The test mule spotted recently reveals that the new-generation Bolero will continue to get a boxy design with an upright stance and dead straight lines. The automaker has focused on adding more contour to the mix, with muscles building out the side. With a flat bonnet, the 2026 Bolero has circular LED headlamps and vertical slat grilles for its updated front fascia. The bumper design is not visible, but it is assumed that the model will have a refreshed unit.
The SUV continues to get upright on the rear profile with a flat surface and vertically oriented taillamps. On the tailgate, a spare wheel mount is also given. Additionally, Mahindra can offer larger alloy wheels on the SUV with updated ORVMs. The brand can also offer flush-type door handles to make the SUV even more interesting. This can be a major hint if the brand wants to position the new generation of Mahindra Bolero on the premium end.
The test mule has an F4 sticker on the rear profile that reflects that it's a prototype version and has gone through various stages of quality and performance checks to reach a production-ready version.
Previous reports revealed that Mahindra can launch a new platform to underpin the 2026 Bolero, while the technical specifications are yet to be confirmed. According to rumors, the SUV can get petrol-hybrid and diesel engine options.
However, these are just industry updates, and we will have to wait for the coming weeks when the brand officially releases some interesting insights about the 2026 Mahindra Bolero SUV.
