Priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom), this premium offering signifies a significant milestone for Ather Energy, marking its illustrious ten-year journey in the electric vehicle industry.

Production Commences at Hosur Facility

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Ather Energy, Swapnil Jain, recently shared a glimpse of the commencement of Ather 450 Apex's production, with images capturing the moment as the e-scooter rolled off the assembly line at the company's manufacturing facility situated in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Notably, eager customers can anticipate the commencement of deliveries starting next month.

Ather 450 Apex: Performance

The Ather 450 Apex distinguishes itself as a pinnacle of performance, leveraging advancements from the 450X platform. Equipped with a potent PMS electric motor, the Ather 450 Apex now delivers an enhanced power output of 7 kW (9.3 bhp), surpassing its predecessor's 6.4 kW (8.5 bhp). Despite this power boost, peak torque remains consistent at 26 Nm. The introduction of the new Warp+ mode enables the Ather 450 Apex to achieve a higher top speed of 100 kmph, with an impressive acceleration from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, a 0.4-second improvement over the 450X model.

Innovative Features:

Furthermore, innovative features such as the Magic Twist technology introduce regenerative braking capabilities, facilitating deceleration without the necessity of brake lever inputs. Noteworthy enhancements extend to the vehicle's range, with the Ather 450 Apex now boasting a claimed range of 157 km on a single charge, compared to the 150 km range of its predecessor, the Ather 450X.

Distinctive Design:

Visually, the Ather 450 Apex undergoes notable aesthetic revisions, showcasing a distinctive blue and orange color scheme adorned with a satin finish. The introduction of transparent panels on the sides, exclusive to this special edition offering, further accentuates its premium appeal. In conjunction with the vehicle's launch, Ather Energy had also announced a complementary customized helmet, featuring a matching color scheme, for prospective buyers.

Ather 450 Apex vs. Market Competitors

In the competitive landscape, the Ather 450 Apex faces off against formidable rivals including the Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro, and TVS iQube, highlighting the intense competition prevalent in the burgeoning electric scooter market.
