How is TVS iQube Scooter?
What We Like?
- The top-tier ST variant offers a class-leading 212 km IDC range per single full charge.
- Provides a segment-leading 32-litre under-seat compartment, large enough to store two half-face helmets.
- The 4.4 kW motor delivers 140 Nm peak torque, hitting 0-40 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
- Features a premium 7-inch TFT touchscreen with 118+ connected features and full Alexa voice integration.
- High-spec variants can charge from 0% to 80% in 3 hours using a 1.5 kW portable charger.
What could have been better?
- The ST 5.3 kWh variant is priced at approximately ₹1.85 lakh, making it quite expensive for commuters.
- Despite high torque, the speed is capped at 82 km/h, slower than rivals like Ola or Ather.
- The 5.3 kWh model weighs 132 kg, which may feel heavy for smaller riders during manual parking.
- Users report the 7-inch screen's ambient light sensor and UI navigation can be sluggish during transitions.
- With a 10-degree incline limit, it struggles more on very steep flyovers compared to sportier EV rivals.
TVS iQube Exterior Design
- The iQube’s curvy, flowing design appeals to all family members, unlike the sharper, edgier Ather 450X that parents found too aggressive.
- It looks fresh and modern without being boring, standing out distinctly among common scooters like Activa and Jupiter in parking lots.
- The base iQube 3.1 kWh variant offers five colours: Copper Brown, Starlight Blue, Pearl White, Walnut Brown, and Titanium Grey.
- The base iQube 3.5 kWh adds Celebration Orange; Starlight Blue looks elegant, while Celebration Orange is bold and striking.
- The iQube S variant comes in five colours: Mint Blue, Mercury Grey, Starlight Blue, Copper Brown, and Celebration Orange.
- The Mint Blue iQube S test scooter looked pretty and appealing during the six-month ownership period.
- The top-spec iQube ST (3.5 kWh and 5.3 kWh) is limited to three colours: Titanium Grey, Starlight Blue, and Copper Brown.
- iQube features 12-inch wheels front and rear, fitted with 90/90-12 tyres.
- The rear wheel houses the hub motor in a round enclosure, eliminating exposed chain or belt drive components.
- The front 12-inch alloy wheel has attractive diamond-cut detailing for a premium appearance.
- Overall finish looks decent from afar, but close inspection reveals panel gaps and non-premium detailing.
TVS iQube Technology & Convenience
- The iQube lacks key safety features like ABS and traction control.
- Peace of mind comes from geo-fencing, crash/fall alerts, vehicle tracking, and anti-theft alerts via TVS SmartXonnect.
- Crash and fall alerts are standard across all iQube variants.
- Additional safety features such as geo-fencing and tracking require the SmartXonnect package.
- The iQube offers comprehensive features, including turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts for easier daily commuting.
- Underseat storage provides a generous 32 litres with a built-in USB charging port.
- The boot space handles everything from small shopping to large supermarket loads effectively.
- The bulky charger reduces usable underseat space when stored in the boot.
- The large floorboard easily fits a backpack, even with two riders and size 10 feet.
- A single seat hook is provided under the seat edge for hanging items.
- No additional storage like a front cubbyhole is available, missing an opportunity for extra practicality.
TVS iQube Performance & Range
- The iQube’s 4.4kW hub-mounted motor is exceptionally silent, with virtually no audible whine even compared to other electric scooters like the Ather 450X.
- The complete lack of motor noise took time to adjust to but ultimately provided a peaceful ride and better road focus.
- City performance is smooth, easy-going, and beginner-friendly, making the switch from petrol scooters seamless.
- As the battery depletes, the iQube restricts top speed rather than acceleration, keeping brisk response even below 10% charge.
- Only two riding modes are offered: Eco for city use and Power for highway riding.
- Eco mode delivers surprisingly brisk and smooth power, making city overtakes effortless and enjoyable.
- On highways, the iQube comfortably maintains 70-75 kmph, performing well for occasional longer runs.
- Range varies by variant: the base 2.2 kWh model offers 94 km IDC-certified, while the top 5.3 kWh ST variant claims 212 km.
- Real-world testing on the iQube S consistently delivered 95-100 km against a displayed 105 km full-charge range.
- iQube variants have proven reliable over time, with real-world range staying close to IDC-certified figures.
- Charging time for 0-80% is 2 hours 45 minutes on the 2.2 kWh base variant and 4 hours 18 minutes on the 5.3 kWh ST.
- The 950W charger is bulky and, when carried, consumes significant underseat storage space.
TVS iQube Riding Comfort & Braking
- The iQube offers a spacious, sofa-like soft seat that feels instantly comfortable.
- At 6’0, the rider found knees slightly close to the apron but manageable by scooting back.
- Most riders found ample legroom and comfort; pillion comfort is excellent for all ages.
- The very soft seat causes backside soreness after 40-45 minutes solo or 30-35 minutes with a pillion.
- Suspension uses basic telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.
- Both wheels feature identical 90/90-12 tyres with good wet grip.
- Handling is not razor-sharp but surprisingly fun, agile, and easy for city traffic filtering.
- The 119 kg kerb weight gives the iQube S a stable, planted feel on highways.
- Ride quality stands out with soft, plush suspension that absorbs potholes effectively.
- Suspension remains comfortable and stable even at highway speeds of 70-75 kmph.
- The front disc brake provides adequate, family-friendly stopping power without being overly aggressive.
TVS iQube Variant Lineup
- TVS iQube offers six variants with differences in range, top speed, weight, charging time, and features.
- Variants vary in IDC-certified range from 94 km to 212 km and top speeds from 75 km/h to 82 km/h.
- Kerb weight ranges from 110 kg to 132 kg across the iQube lineup.
- The S and ST variants feature a larger 7-inch TFT console; ST’s console is touchscreen-enabled.
- For tight budgets, the base 2.2 kWh variant with a 94 km certified range suits weekly city use.
- The real-world range of around 90 km on the base variant covers roughly a week’s commuting.
- 3.5 kWh variants (iQube 3.5 kWh or iQube S 3.5 kWh) offer a 145 km certified range.
- A 145 km range exceeds typical weekly needs for most scooter users.
- The 3.5 kWh variants are the most practical and recommended options for family use.
- The top ST variant’s 212 km range feels excessive for a family electric scooter.
- The ST variant’s high price of ₹1,60,327 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) makes it overkill for most buyers.
TVS iQube Conclusion
- The TVS iQube stands out as an excellent choice for a family electric scooter.
- The iQube ticks all essential boxes for a practical family electric scooter.
- Pricing starts at ₹1,01,558 (effective ex-showroom Bengaluru), offering great value.
- It costs 20-25% more than petrol scooters but saves significantly over time.
- Fuel and maintenance savings recover the extra cost within 3-4 years.

TVS iQube User Reviews
best riding experience
I purchased this electric vehicle just 2 months ago and its performance is impressive. It is a really good experience with this vehicle and it is affordable. Its features are also good and smooth riding. Riding a TVS iQube Electric Scooter is so easy and good. I haven't noticed the sound as it is completely silent.
Awesome engine
It is a good-looking scooter with a smoother drive. The battery backup is also good and can seat 2 people comfortably. TVS iQube Electric has good battery health with low-cost maintenance. It is very comfortable to ride and the electric charge is low-cost and controls pollution.
Great performance
For the past three months, I've been utilising this scooter. The scooter works without a hitch. TVS iQube has a supple suspension system. Although the suspension is set up on the stiffer side, it does a remarkable job of handling bridge joints and uneven ground. You won't often complain about any discomfort. Nevertheless, the bigger potholes and the annoying rumble strips do cause the back to somewhat shake.
