Electric scooters may or may not need a license depending on their speed and motor output. Models with speed below 25 km/h and motor power up to 250W fall under the non-motorized category and do not require a driving license, registration, or insurance. These are ideal for beginners and short-distance commuting.

On the other hand, electric scooters with higher speeds or more powerful motors will require you to carry a valid driving license, along with standard registration and insurance. Most mainstream electric scooters fall into this category.

Electric scooters can be charged through a standard 220V AC household outlet. Most models use a portable charger that plugs directly into the scooter’s charging port. In addition, public EV charging stations at malls, workplaces, and commercial hubs support faster and safer charging. Always disconnect the charger once the battery reaches 100% to maintain battery health and prevent power loss.
