Godrej Enterprises Group has installed precast concrete crash barriers on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway Missing Link project. This marks the first use of the company's advanced vehicle restraint technology in India, in partnership with DELTABLOC. The barriers aim to enhance road safety by containing vehicles, redirecting errant cars, and absorbing impact forces to reduce injury severity in accidents.

Deployment on Mumbai–Pune Expressway
The Missing Link project is managed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. It is a major infrastructure initiative designed to improve connectivity, cut travel time, and boost safety along the busy expressway. The installed barrier systems meet European safety standards, including EN 1317. These systems are intended for high-speed corridors and have already been deployed in over 45 countries.
Anup Mathew, Executive Vice President and Business Head of Construction at Godrej Enterprises Group, stated that this deployment introduces a globally recognized vehicle restraint solution to India's highways. The company leverages its engineering and execution capabilities to support this initiative.
Focus on Safety and Sustainability
The project aligns with broader efforts to promote sustainability in infrastructure development. The Missing Link is being built using recycled materials, reflecting a policy focus on resource efficiency. Godrej Enterprises Group reported that its recycled construction materials business grew 57% year-on-year, indicating rising demand for sustainable building solutions.
The construction division of Godrej Enterprises Group is also involved in other major projects. These include the Mumbai Coastal Road, the Versova–Bandra Sea Link, the Mumbai Metro Rail, and the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train. The Missing Link is a critical upgrade for one of Maharashtra’s busiest transport corridors, with a strong emphasis on travel efficiency and road safety.
Company Performance and Facilities
For the fiscal year 2026, Godrej Enterprises Group reported a standalone net profit increase of 12.3%, rising to Rs 580.38 crore from Rs 517.01 crore. The company has also opened a new 33,000 sq. ft. facility, which can accommodate over 250 engineers. Additionally, Godrej describes its NEMBHARAT platform as a zero-subscription, zero-commission service, allowing drivers to retain all their earnings.
