Harley-Davidson has increased prices for its entire X440 motorcycle lineup in India. All three variants—Vivid, S, and T—now cost more, with the largest hike applied to the X440 T. The X440 T, introduced in December last year, receives its first price increase since launch.
Key Highlights
- Harley-Davidson X440 lineup receives price hikes across all three variants
- The entry-level Vivid variant now costs Rs 2.36 lakh after a Rs 1,000 increase
- The top-end X440 T sees largest hike of Rs 5,000 and now costs Rs 2.84 lakh
- X440 T offers ride-by-wire throttle, two riding modes, and switchable traction control
Revised Prices for All Variants
The Harley Davidson X440 lineup features a 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. This engine produces 27 HP and 38 Nm of torque and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Vivid variant, which is the entry-level model, now costs Rs 2.36 lakh after a Rs 1,000 increase. The S variant, previously priced at Rs 2.55 lakh, has become dearer by Rs 4,000 and now stands at Rs 2.59 lakh. The X440 T, the top-end variant, receives the largest hike of Rs 5,000, bringing its price to Rs 2.84 lakh.
Features and Equipment Updates
The X440 T offers the most comprehensive equipment package in the lineup. It includes ride-by-wire throttle, two riding modes, switchable traction control, and switchable ABS. The T variant also features a redesigned rear subframe, a revised tail section, and reworked grab rails. These features set it apart from the Vivid and S variants.
Market Position and Competitors
The price hike affects the X440 T the most, as it was already one of the most expensive motorcycles in its segment. After the increase, the X440 T is priced higher than several key rivals. The Triumph Tracker 400 is priced at Rs 2.53 lakh. The Honda CB350RS starts at Rs 1.98 lakh, and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 ranges from Rs 1.86 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh. The new pricing widens the gap between the X440 T and its competitors.

CarBike 360 Says
The Harley-Davidson X440 price hike across all variants reflects the brand's response to market dynamics while maintaining its entry-level positioning. Despite the increased costs ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000, the X440 continues offering compelling value with its 440cc engine and premium Harley DNA. Prospective buyers should consider the new pricing before making their purchase decision in this competitive segment.
