The Hero Glamour has been setting the benchmark in the 125 cc commuter segment for a long time and is known for its practicality and reliability. All the bikes tagged under the Glamour series are known for their dependable performance and best-in-class fuel efficiency. Through generations, Hero MotoCorp has evolved its most affordable 125 cc motorcycle with advanced technology and the latest industry trends. Due to this, the bike has now redefined expectations as India’s most futuristic 125 cc bike.
The latest released Hero Glamour X includes segment-first features like cruise control, LED side blinders, and ride-by-wire throttle. This bike will be sold alongside its existing models. So for you to understand which model is the best to choose, this detailed comparison examines how the standard Glamour 125, the feature-rich Glamour Xtec, and the cutting-edge Glamour X each meet different rider needs. Here is the detailed comparison to help potential buyers make a thoughtful decision.

While looking at the bike, the classic standard Hero Glamour 125 design was simply subtle. Every design contour evokes its simplicity. The bike resonates with compact panels, subtle minimalist graphics, and a simple, comfortable long seat. Even the color option was decent, ranging from aesthetic blue to a metallic red and black scheme.
To improve with the young generation of riders, Hero launched the feature-rich Glamour Xtec, which offers sportier tank outlays, bold new graphics, and first-in-the-edition all-new LED headlamps. The ergonomic controls were not changed much, yet they give a glimpse of modernity when looked at. The motorcycle was now arched with alloy wheels, with the new meter console hinting at its digital revolution.
To meet today’s competitive market and latest trends, Hero Glamour X was recently launched and made its first impression with the design. The bike comes with a muscular racing stance, sleek riding dynamics, and refined bodywork. The bike now features all-new signature H full LED headlights with integrated DRLs and a stylish LED tail lamp.

The standard Hero Glamour uses a 124.7 cc single-cylinder FI petrol engine, which produces 10.53 HP of power along with 10.4 Nm of maximum torque. The bike was known for its smooth power delivery and best-in-class mileage. What makes this bike unique as a 125 cc commuter is that it was the first variant to introduce i3S (Idle Start Stop System), which automatically turns the engine off when stuck in a long traffic hiatus.
On the other hand, the Glamour Xtec is powered by a 124.7 cc air-cooled 4-stroke engine that churns out 10.7 HP of power and 10.6 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch drivetrain. Fast forward to the new Hero Glamour X, shifting the benchmark from the previous generations. The bike borrows its engine from the high-performance Xtreme 125R, a 124.7 cc, single-cylinder engine producing 11.55 HP of power and 10.5 Nm of peak torque.
The X adds a ride-by-wire throttle and three ride modes (Eco, Rain, and Power) that allow you to tailor engine character to conditions and mood.

Hero MotoCorp is known for its practical features. This is reflected in all Hero bikes. Such as the standard Glamour 125, which offers a digital odometer, fuel gauge, and pass switch. The addition of the i3S technology helped to improve efficiency and ensure comfort and reliability. The Glamour Xtec is a small leap into the digital age. The bike offers many updated features, such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a real-time mileage indicator, and an all-digital console.
The all-new Hero Glamour X has both comfort and tech as its core. The bike is built with the AERA Tech platform that underpins the bike's ECU suite with more advanced features than its predecessors. The drum variant includes everything associated with the update, but for an additional Rs 10,000, you may get first-in-segment cruise control. This will be one of the first bikes that offers cruise control as a feature, ideal for highway and long city rides.
The front fascia of the bike offers full LED lighting with an advanced colored LCD instrument panel that supports Bluetooth and displays calls, SMS, gear position, and real-time distance-to-empty. The most prominent feature of the bike is the ride-by-wire throttle, and the three ride modes enhance both performance and adaptability. For the passenger, the bike offers a large pillion seat with an under-seat USB charging port.
Hero MotoCorp has always considered safety as a paramount feature. Due to this, every Hero Glamour model includes an integrated braking system and hazard light as a standard function. All three models come with disc and drum brake variants. Old Glamour 125 offers a pillion grab rail and a pass light on both variants. Additional safety features include a side stand alarm, automatic headlight on, and hazard warning indicators.
In contrast, the Xtec and X disc variants offer refined braking due to the front disc brake, while the Glamour X drum stays with a simpler drum setup. Even though it offers most of the essential features that are introduced in the segment for the first time, such as panic brake alert and kickstart in low battery

The current prices across models may be different, as per the evolving features. The standard Glamour 125 is priced at Rs 87,198 (ex-showroom) in India. However, the higher disc variant might cost you around Rs 91,198 (ex-showroom). For the Glamour Xtec drum, you might have to pay around Rs 90,498 (ex-showroom) and Rs 95,098 for the higher trim level.
The all-new Glamour X enters at Rs 89,999 for the drum and Rs 99,999 for the disc, justifying its tag with technology, performance, and unprecedented segment features. While paying Rs 10,000 extra, the buyer might get cruise control, LED side blinders, and full LED lighting. Each of these additions is a concrete jump over the drum variant and makes an impression every time you ride or park your bike.
The standard Hero Glamour offers 3 distinct color options: Candy Blazing Red, Sports Red Black, and Techno Blue Black. For Indian buyers, the Hero Glamour Xtec comes in 4 different colors, such as Glossy Black and Matte Axis Grey, Candy Blazing Red, and Nexus Blue. However, the all-new Glamour X might offer 5 different colors to choose from. These are Matte Magnetic Silver, Candy Blazing Red, Metallic Nexus Blue, Black Teal Blue, and Black Pearl Red.
The standard Hero Glamour 125 sets benchmarks in dependability and fuel efficiency. However, the Xtec injected ambition and connectivity, and the Glamour X has encapsulated the model into a future where commuters demand style, convenience, and technology. For the family man, the college student, or the ambitious professional, there’s a Glamour tailored to meet not just practical necessities but personal dreams.
