Hero MotoCorp Ride Safe India

Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of its nationwide ‘Ride Safe India’ campaign to mark National Road Safety Month. The three-month-long initiative aims to encourage responsible road behaviour and promote safety as a daily habit rather than just a rule to follow. The campaign will be carried out across major cities including Delhi, Gurugram, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Jaipur. The programme aligns with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways’ (MoRTH) four pillars of road safety Education, Engineering, Enforcement, and Emergency Care and combines on-ground activities, community participation, and digital awareness to reach a wide audience.

Building on a Decade-Long Road Safety Commitment

Hero MotoCorp’s latest campaign builds on over 10 years of road safety initiatives, which have already reached and benefited more than 1.6 million people across India. Over the years, the company has conducted rider training programmes, awareness drives, and traffic park activities to encourage safer riding habits. With ‘Ride Safe India’, Hero MotoCorp aims to take this effort further by creating long-term behavioural change and making road safety a shared social responsibility.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Vikram Kasbekar, Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer, Hero MotoCorp, stated:  “Road safety is a shared responsibility and needs to be driven through sustained multi-stakeholder efforts. At Hero MotoCorp, safety is embedded in our purpose, our products, and our partnerships. Through ‘Ride Safe India', we are deepening our commitment to make safety a priority for every rider, every family and every community. Beyond awareness, we are also democratizing safety through intelligent and preventive features in our products. We will continue to support India’s road safety agenda - where every ride, every day, is a commitment to come home safely.”

Focus on Students, Gig Workers, and Women Riders

The campaign has been designed to create measurable impact by focusing on three key groups: students, gig workers, and women riders. Hero MotoCorp is working closely with Traffic Police, Regional Transport Authorities, and Educational Institutions to move beyond awareness and drive real behavioural change. To improve safety for children, Hero MotoCorp will set up 10 Safe School Zones. These zones will include speed-calming measures, clear road markings, and around 200 safety signages at important intersections.

The company will also roll out digital road safety pledges for parents and children, targeting over one million participants. In collaboration with the International Road Federation (IRF), students will also receive hands-on road safety training and simulations.

‘Surakshit Saathi’ and Community Awareness

Under the ‘Surakshit Saathi’ initiative, Hero MotoCorp will train and certify more than 1,000 delivery executives. These workers will be equipped to act as first responders during road emergencies. The training will be conducted at Hero MotoCorp’s Traffic Parks and will include emergency response lessons, behavioural guidance, and the distribution of safety gear, first-aid kits, and emergency protocol cards.

As part of its broader outreach, Hero MotoCorp will deploy 250 mobile billboards to spread road safety messages. Awareness drives will be carried out across 500 fuel stations, along with public events, digital safety pledges, and interactive traffic park engagements. These activities aim to reach millions of road users across the country.

Road Safety for Women Riders

Marking International Women’s Day, Hero MotoCorp will organize a Women’s Bike Rally involving around 100 women riders. The company will also honour women traffic police officers for their contribution to road safety. This initiative highlights Hero MotoCorp’s focus on inclusivity and equal participation in safer mobility.

Hero MotoCorp’s Role

Through the ‘Ride Safe India’ campaign, Hero MotoCorp aims to strengthen collaboration with communities and authorities while reinforcing its long-term role in improving road safety in India. The initiative reflects the company’s broader vision of making every journey safer and ensuring that responsible riding becomes part of everyday life.
